A game I've been looking forward has also been in development by Gryzor87, published by Abylight, and will feature high quality graphics while giving us nostalgic memories of an era of golden gaming; basically the best bits of other classic games while bringing it bang up to scratch for both retro and modern gamers alike.

Fantastic news this afternoon as Locomalito, the same designer behind such games as the fantastic Ghouls 'n Ghosts style game of Maldita Castilla, and the ZX Spectrum look alike Platformer of l'Abbaye des Morts has announced 'Super Hydorah' is a Steam Greenlight success and will be released by Abylight Studios for the PC. A stunning Shoot em up in the making featuring high quality graphics while giving us nostalgic memories of an era of golden gaming, Super Hydorah will have the best bits of other classic games while bringing it bang up to scratch for both retro and modern gamers alike.
Tower 57 - Top of its class retro inspired shooter with a new gameplay trailer
Another one of my most eagerly awaited games and a Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight success is Pixwerks 16-bit shooter ' Tower 57 '. It takes the best out of hit Amiga games such as Chaos Engine while having a rather unique steampunk vibe as you play as a selection of extraordinary individuals sent to infiltrate the reclusive Tower 57. Containing awesome 16-bit inspired pixel art, destructible environments and a ton of blasting action, this game has now received a new gameplay trailer!
Fox n Forests - Gorgeous 16bit era inspired platformer is a Kickstarter success!
What a fantastic day for the developers Bonus Level Entertainment, as their 16bit inspired platformer ' Fox n Forests ', is a Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight success. Raising €103,949 of a €95,000 goal so far with 21 hours to go, Fox n Forests is one of my most eagerly awaited games. It looks to have the charm of those retro gaming platformer classics such as Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts, Wonder Boy in Monster World, the gameplay that a person of any age can pick up and play, and the musical and soundtrack that sounds as if it's being loaded up on a SNES or a Sega Megadrive.
Trajes Fatais - 2D costume fighter greenlight success and demo!
In February of this year, we gave you the heads up to check out the latest 2D fighting game ' Trajes Fatais ' developed by the brazillian team Onanim. which was going through a Steam Greenlight campaign. Well fast forward to this month and not only is it a Steam Greenlight success, but the developers have released an early version demo for you to try! If you didn't read our previous article, in short; Trajes Fatais (TRAF) is a 2D fighting game made in pixel art, developed by brazillian team Onanim. The plot takes place in a costume party, where the characters gain powers according to the garments they were wearing.
The Quest - One of the best Dungeon Crawlers, out now on Steam!
I've been eagerly awaiting this game ever since we first mentioned it some months ago coming from its iOS home over to the PC. And sure enough after a very quick Steam Greenlight success, RedShift Games fantastic Dungeon Crawler ' The Quest ' is now available to buy on Steam for PC priced at £9.34. Play the game as it was meant to be played in all new overhauled graphics, in an open world with interesting locales, day/night cycle, weather, fascinating people, dangerous creatures, readable books, pick-able locks, repairable items, houses that can be broken into, dungeons, traps and much more!
The Quest - An incredible Dungeon Crawler gets greenlit!!
I can't tell you how excited I am right now, as the incredible iOS based dungeon crawler ' The Quest ', by RedShift Games, has received so many Steam Greenlight thumps up, that as of today, it's a Steam Greenlight success! Yes indeed, one of the best dungeon crawlers I have ever played, will be making it's way to the PC via Steam at some point this month, latest next. As for the game, it's a hi-res overhaul with brand new high resolution graphics of the original dungeon crawling classic!
ShipLord - Survival Asteroid dodger gets Steam Greenlit!
What a very positive week this has been for a multitude of developers, as another Steam Greenlight success has appeared in the form of a survival game based sci-fi called ' ShipLord ', by Just1337. Currently in development for PC, MAC & Linux with a release date of soon, ShipLord has asteroid dodging mechanics and energy collection, combined with interactive boss fights. The main goal of the game is to survive a specific period of time, collect as much energy as possible, so you can progress further into the vast and fully unique space.
Clumsy Moose Season - Weird and wacky Steam Greenlight success
We've seen some really wacky games appearing on Steam, and it looks as if the Steam Greenlight success of 'Clumsy Moose Season' by Enrick Lambert is most certainly one of them. In this game which can be played by friends, you play as a stupid moose living amongst the islands inhabited by several angry rangers. The problem is, it's moose season, and due to them being a bit dumb they don't even realize it. Thankfully though this gives you the opportunity to do what you want in the most weirdest of ways without even thinking about those annoying rangers!
Poncho - A gorgeous platformer finally arrives on Steam!
Now is the time to get excited, especially if you enjoy great Indie Games, as Delve Interactive who are based in Sussex have released their gorgeous looking platformer of ' Poncho ', which was also a Steam Greenlight success. In this lovely game you play as a Robot who wears a poncho (Hence the name), in a multi layer world of great artwork that must make hard choices and decide the fate of humankind. As the developers has said, Poncho will hopefully make you feel like a kid again as you can explore every nook and cranny in the world, to find treasure and the wonders that lay beyond.

Tower 57 - Retro inspired shooter with a Chaos Engine vibe Kickstarter success!
A rather surprising update today as this Kickstarter was so close to be doomed to failure but with just hours to go and one big push by the community, 'Tower 57'; the retro inspired shooter in an Amiga style, is not only a Kickstarter success but has also gathered enough thumbs up to be Steam Greenlit. To say we are overjoyed is an understatement as ever since our first feature and the big Kickstarter post, we've been eagerly awaiting to play Benitosub and artist Cyangmou's retro inspired shooter that has oodles of Chaos Engine charm.
Slipstream - Retro inspired racer gets a demo and Steam Greenlight success
Going through our list of Steam Greenlight campaigns and games of interest, we are happy to announce that 'Slipstream' by Ansdors is not only a Steam Greenlight success, but the developers have also made available a PC and Mac/Linux demo. Although we did a big feature on the game earlier this year (Link) Slipstream has the atmosphere of 80’s and 90’s games like OutRun, Daytona USA and Super Hang-On while featuring Pseudo3D rendering as an arcade-style checkpoint racing game across 15 different tracks!

ROGUS - Frantic runner available through Steam 30th June
Some time ago we gave you the heads up of Irondrop Studios latest run'em up release of 'ROGUS - Kingdom Of The Lost Souls' for the PC that had a Wizard rushing through cool pixelated graphics, attacking or avoiding beasts, jumping over holes, while also shielding and spell casting. As such it gathered enough interest by gamers to be a Steam Greenlight success and as from the 30th of June, it will be available through Steam!
8Bit Fiesta - Addictive party game gets greenlit and goes early access!
Frozen Dev must be pleased with the news as their multiplayer party based game of '8Bit Fiesta' has persuaded enough people through it's action packed 8Bit mayhem trailer to become a Steam Greenlight success. Taking a Soldat approach with single screen multiplayer action, the developers have also announced the game is in early access and anyone who purchases it during this time will get a Steam key emailed when the game is released on Steam.

We've been informed by Adventurepro Games LLC , that their Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight success of 'Dungeonmans : The Heroic Adventure' has now been improved upon with further features and improvements. Classed as an adventuring roguelike with deep and creepy dungeons, will have you searching for loot through 12 different styled areas such as dripping swamps, deathless crypts, huddled warrens, forest camps while fighting many unique monsters plus champions and bosses!
There Was A Caveman - Prehistoric retro inspired platformer greenlight success
Aamatniekss has informed the gaming community of a successful Steam Greenlight campaign for 'There Was A Caveman'. A challenging action platformer where you play as possibly the last Caveman venturing out of his cave to save the world overrun by dinosaurs and hopefully find a female specimen to rebuild his caveman civilization. To coincide with this news, the developer has also released a number of animated gifs, and a new demo version which includes lots of small fixes and additions, and a few bigger things.
Lethis : Path of Progress - Anno style Victorian Steampunk vibe new screenshots!
A few months ago we featured Lethis : A Path of Progress which looked to be a great looking city builder that looked very much like Anno but in a Victorian Steampunk vibe. Not only did it become a Steam Greenlight success, but the developers Triskell Interactive have now released some brand new screenshots showing off the buildings, UI and in game development process of your growing city.
