Buck & Miles - Retrotastic Platformer gets a Kickstarter

We get so many retro inspired platformers going through a Kickstarter campaign it's hard to keep up. But Buck & Miles developed by quackgyver really caught our attention. According to the developers, the game follows Buck the Trucker and Miles the Pilot as they run, jump, bop and bounce their way through a mysterious and magical desert, spanning over ten different worlds and biomes.

Of all the retro inspired platformers we've featured, Buck & Miles is at the top end of games that we really want to succeed. The graphics and game play are of very high quality and have that Amiga and SNES style feel to them. Also for those that liked games such as Mario then this in development platforming game certainly gives it that Mario feel with it's Mario style over map and collecting of coins. Buck & Miles will also feature lots of magical and quirky secrets, people, power ups and bonuses to aid the characters on their way, just watch out for the many different baddies that want to put a stop to your travels.

This Kickstarter has so far has raised kr12,505 of a kr500,000 goal with multi-platform support such as PC,MAC,LINUX & HandHeld devices. So come on guys, lets give this one a good push, I want this game to happen, it's so retro it's awesome!
  • A side-scrolling platformer game that is based on the design principles of some of the most beloved platforming franchises of the 80s and 90s. It's a completely new experience in a format you know and love.
  • Soundtrack by the amazing brentalfloss (Video Games "WITH LYRICS"), virt (Shovel Knight), Eric "cboyardee" Shumaker (Barkley, Shut Up & Jam: Gaiden) and Alexander Brandon (Deus Ex, Jazz Jackrabbit).
