Verdun - Squad based WW1 multiplayer game now out of early access!


M2H. BlackMill Games have announced that Verdun; A Squad based multiplayer WW1 game has officially been released out of Steam Early Access today. Verdun is set in WW1 and inspired by the infamous battle of Verdun in 1916 and contains many interesting features such as : Authentic weaponry, character levelling, realistic historical battlefields, tactical squad assembling, real time dynamic front-line immersion and much much more.


The game also includes historical maps based on sectors of the Western Front and authentic uniforms and equipment. The game immerses you into one of the bloodiest conflicts fought in Europe.

Verdun key features include: 

•Realistic World War 1 gameplay: Authentic weaponry with realistic bullet physics, skill based weapon handling, poisonous gas with a claustrophobic gas mask experience and artillery barrages
•Tactical squad-based FPS: Unique squad leveling system, distinct squad types and roles, voice chat
•True trench warfare: Real-time dynamic frontline with momentum-based attack and counter-attack gameplay
•Authentic World War 1 setting: Typical WW1 music and style, historical battlefields set on the Western Front
•Challenging game modes: Team-based Frontline and skill-based Rifle Deathmatch

So far in it's early access state the game has gathered over 4,000 in positive review scores, which for a first person WW1 multiplayer game is pretty impressive. Many of the positive player feedbacks state the game is well worth the money and the fact that some have waited for a very long time for a decent WW1 game and this is it.
