Eastward - Early development for an artistic action adventure

This week has just got even better as we have a very graphically appealing game to show you today as an early work in progress title for the PC and maybe consoles. This is ' Eastward ' developed by Pixpil Games using their in-house framework based on the great MOAI engine; an action adventure that the developers hope will be like Zelda with some JRPG style storyline, that will appear at some point on Steam when it's complete.

In the world of EW,  human societies are isolated and shrinking, due to some severe environmental problem. You will be playing a 'father' with a following 'daughter',  and go through this post-apocalyptic world in your very own adventure filled with a special "retro-pixel + 3D lighting" visual style.

As of yet we don't have a release date as currently it's only 10% complete, but apart from the screenshots above, we can tease you a new video below, which shows off the games Pixel Art + Deferred Lighting. Does this game look beautiful or what?

Follow the developments either on their twitter page, tumblr or discussion forum.
