Great news indeed especially if you grew up on the Atari 2600 as well as the much later Atari 8bit as you'll be overjoyed to hear Avery "Phaeron" Lee has released the Atari 2600 classic ' Combat ' over to the Atari 8bit. This well known game and a collectors item for fans of that era, will be pleased to know this is a conversion of Atari Inc's 1977 game and is completely free to download and play with up two players!
As thanks to Atariteca who first announced this latest port, they have said Combat is one of the first nine titles that the legendary company included in the launch of the Atari 2600 console, in September 1977. They also go on to say as in the VCS, with the SELECT key you can choose between more than 20 game levels -where we interpret tanks, planes and ships; with OPTION and you can change from the color version to the one in black and white.
