Uchūsen Gamma - Juan J. Martínez's latest Shoot em up release for the MSX

If you're looking for a new Shoot em up for your MSX, then you've come to the right place! As we've just been told in our email, that Juan J. Martínez has released his new game called 'Uchūsen Gamma'; a high grade top scrolling shoot em up from the same creator behind games such as Night Knight, The Dawn of Kernel, Rescuing Orc, Magica and Golden Tail for systems such as the Amstrad CPC, C64 and MSX.

According to the creator the game offers classic shoot’em up action with a twist: the power ups only appear when 9 enemies are destroyed in a row (a “full chain”). The longer the chain, the more points will be obtained per destroyed enemy. There’s a risk/reward component because you may need to wait to kill the enemy ships until there are enough of them on screen to complete a full chain. The game features classic arcade action, smooth scrolling, 5 stages with multiple enemy types and a boss, keyboard or joystick control, and finally is PAL/NTSC compatible requiring an MSX computer with 16K of RAM.
