An exciting new release is headed to the Commodore Amiga AGA, courtesy of developer MainakeProject. Announced via itch io, this is an upcoming port of Maldita Castilla (also known as Cursed Castilla), a critically acclaimed action-platformer originally created by Locomalito in 2012. Developed with the full blessing and support of the original creator, this homebrew port utilizes authentic game assets alongside the memorable original soundtrack composed by Gryzor87. Heavily inspired by arcade classics like Ghosts 'n Goblins, the game weaves a dark fantasy tale heavily drawing from Spanish myths, chivalric romances, and European folklore (wiki).
Amiga owners are treated to a gameplay tease, as MainakeProject has launched a playable demo featuring the entire first level. Players can fight their way through the introductory stage and test their skills against its challenging final boss. This teaser also offers a polished glimpse of a brilliant indie game that has been ported over to classic Amiga hardware that the creator has said is made by Amiga fans, for Amiga fans!
