Zedex Tanks - De-make of Battle City released for the ZX Spectrum by Epsilon Games

Another great ZX Spectrum news story for you all, as if you remember playing the 1985 game of Battle City by Namco for the NES, then as of just recently you can play Epsilon Games newest of creations called 'Zedex Tanks'. As in the words of the team behind the game "This game for classic ZX Spectrum models is the most exact functional de-make of Battle City, developed in 1985 for NES by Namco." To coincide with this news, Saberman was also kind enough to do a video showing the game in action.

As many of  you know by now that the ZX-DEV Media and Demakes compo had been launched and gave you the chance to not only create an awesome game where the contestants had to either submit a game which is based on any of the different Communicational Media such as TV or Movies, but you could also create a Spectrum demake of an existing game for a machine more powerful than the Spectrum. Well here we are with yet another entry into the competition, and this time it's the 1985 Arcade game of ' Battle City '; a new ZX Spectrum demake/inspiration developed by menyiques using Basic and compiled with the zx Boriel compiler

Battle Buggy Grounds - NES inspired Battle City now available for PC


Kidando has sent us word that their latest top down tank shooter 'Battle Buggy Grounds', is now available for PC. Inspired by the classic NES title Battle City from 1985 you control a Battle Buggy that must survive waves of merciless enemies as you progress through the increasingly difficult levels.
