Roland of Sherwood - Carnivac improves his WIP Amstrad CPC styled game
Carnivac has given the CPCwiki community a rather nice screenshot update today for his in development Amstrad CPC styled game of ' Roland of Sherwood ', which looks like it may be released at some point this year for the PC. An update of the Roland in Time/Space pics with his time travelling phone booth having landed in medieval England. This latest update features a completely different view of the original landscape to the one seen above, that's far more bleak and more gritty, to that of a bewitched look.
Robocop Prime - Another Amstrad CPC styled game by Carnivac gets an update!
I must admit when it comes to games that are developed in a style similar to classic computers, Carnivac is one to impress. Although I have yet to play a game from Carnivac, he has so far shown us two highly detailed games that are in development for the PC, but hoping to have it ported over to the Amstrad CPC. Two of those games are Cosmic Commando and Roland of Sherwood. However today's update is for another game we've yet to give a good mention to, is Robocop Prime, which the developer has noted is still being worked on in two new screenshots.
Roland of Sherwood - Carnivac's Amstrad CPC styled game gets new details!
Another Amstrad announcement today and it's all to do with Carnivac's great looking Amstrad CPC styled game ' Roland of Sherwood ' which is still in development with a release looking likely this year. An update of the Roland in Time/Space pics with his time travelling phone booth having landed in medieval England. The latest update features a completely redone status bar as a medieval banner, menus now auto-tiled to look like scrolls and a new font. In terms of what's to come next, apart from the main stuff almost done, Carnivac is doing more screen layouts and obstacle courses for each screen. A worthy looking game indeed and one I seriously hope will appear on a real Amstrad!

Roland of Sherwood - Carnivac's Amstrad CPC styled colorful game update!
Through these last few months we've been giving you the heads up over a great looking Amstrad CPC styled action platformer game of 'Roland of Sherwood', which is being developed by our friendly CPCwiki user, Carnivac. Well that same game has received another update today in the form of the picture above and a whizzy little gif. For those of you who didn't read our previous article, Roland of Sherwood is an update of the Roland in Time/Space pics with his time travelling phone booth having landed in medieval England.
Roland of Sherwood - Carnivac's Amstrad CPC styled game gets an update!
You may remember our recent feature of Carnivac's most impressive looking Amstrad CPC styled platformer game of 'Roland of Sherword' which is still in development. But we've just been given the update of a new screenshot which looks rather nice to say the least. The developer has also noted since our most recent article, that he only started it not long ago but it's a relatively simple game with almost all of the main code and 75% of level graphics are done, so technically it's already the most complete of his CPC projects.
Roland of Sherwood - Carnivac's next impressive Amstrad CPC game
Carnivac of the CPCWiki forums is certainly no stranger to us, in making Amstrad games that are real eye openers in graphical detail. He blew us all away with the work in progress Cosmic Prison Commando, now he's doing the same with his latest platformer game 'Roland of Sherwood'. Unlike his previous work in progress title, this one isn't as far developed as he's only just been making it over the last few days as a test project for himself and any CPC developer who wants to have a go at converting it to a real CPC when finished.
Cosmic Prison Commando - HQ Amstrad CPC style game in development!
Over 4 years ago Carnivac first mentioned his Amstrad CPC styled shooter 'Cosmic Prison Commando' to the retro gaming community for the PC. Yet it wasn't until much later (2014?) that Carnivac decided to overhaul his game and turn it into a much more impressive looking title that is still in development even today. Classed as a flick-screen platformer with shooting, punching and puzzles involved. Cosmic Prison Commando was originally developed very much like Turrican but has evolved over the years into less of a Turrican-lite and more a mixture of a lot of his favourite games such as SwitchBlade, Ratchet & Clank and others.
