While we wait for the big announcement of a new game that's hopefully going to be released on the Amiga, Atari XL and C64 this weekend. The first game that needs to be mentioned on Indie Retro News, is Typhon's new Amstrad CPC conversion of Transversion. A game in which the creator says, " is not only a port of the 1983 Solar-Fox/Gridrunner game originally for the Speccy, but it's using the CPCTelera library, and includes a few of the graphical tweaks from the awesome versions by Denis Grachev". To coincide with this news, Xenomorph has provided a video showing the game in action.

The Untouchables SE - 1989 Game movie tie in re-released as an enhanced version
In 1989 Ocean released ' The Untouchables ' for the Amiga, as well as many other platforms as a movie tie in, in which you play as The Untouchables, Elliot Ness, who is going after the ruthless Mafia boss Al Capone. Based on the movie of the same name, and featuring multiple levels and a variety of weapons to pick up, the game is regarded as marmite with some liking the game and others not so much. So how do you improve a game that isn't that great? Well you enhance it, and that is exactly what Earok has done with the latest ' The Untouchables SE ' released for the Amiga today.
Wizball - Classic 8-bit ZX Spectrum 128k Ocean game hacked by Adrian Singh
Funnily enough last night I was trawling through Ebay and happen to come across a really good priced Amstrad tape of the Ocean classic ' Wizball ', which was released in 1987 by Ocean and coded by Jon Hare and Chris Yates ( Sensible Software legends ). This rather famous game also appeared on the C64, ZX Spectrum, Amiga and Atari ST, with music by Peter Clarke, although the C64 version was composed by Martin Galway. So you can probably understand why I just had to mention the latest news in regards to the ZX Spectrum 128k version, as thanks to a heads up by Mark R Jones, it has been hacked by Adrian Singh with a 1987 C64 chr set, 2 hidden tunes and 2 sound fx by Peter Clarke.
Chase HQ - A ZX Spectrum Ocean classic, reviewed!
All hail Chase HQ! Bow before thee! Kneel at the altar and praise the gods at Ocean for creating this masterpiece. *gets on knees and prays* When it comes to arcade conversions, there are few equal to that of this piece of Spectrum genius. All the fun of the original arcade game (minus the seats - except the one on your sofa, I guess) has been squeezed into your modest little Speccy's memory, somehow, and makes this one of the most accomplished games for our hallowed machine. Unless of course, you don't like driving games, in which case you may think it's rubbish. But, for those of us who do like driving games - buckle up!

ZX Spectrum Classics - Robocop - A retro review by Florinthedwarf
Welcome to what I'm hoping to be a new theme where I look at bona fide Speccy classics. I have ideas of which games I want to feature but also please, if you have suggestions, feel free to tweet me @florinthedwarf and I will see if I can include them. There may well be some absolute stonkers which I haven't played before so I welcome any suggestions in case I missed out on these first time around. Right, on with the first game to feature - Robocop!
An Amiga week full of surprises! - Mr Nutz, Team 17 and WinUAE
It's always the way isn't it, whenever you take time off either through illness or like last week a much needed break, along comes a news story that makes you feel a bit down beat that you didn't get it done. So what better way to make up for that, than to mention not just one Amiga news story, but three! An Amiga CD32 release from Earok and team ' Mr Nutz ', Team 17 : The Complete Amiga Works by AmigaJay, and a new Amiga emulator beta version ' WinUAE 3.3.0 beta 11 ' from Toni Wilen.
The Story of Ocean Software: "The Biggest Games Company in the World" - By Kim Justice
I was just trawling the forums looking for the latest news and came across a new video that is sure to appeal to a vast majority of our readers. This is a brand new documentary by Kim Justice on the entire history of Ocean Software, from start to finish. As Kim says : The early days with Imagine, the glorious success that Robocop bought, plus Batman to Daley Thompson, Cobra to Frankie, Jurassic Park to the Addams Family...and finally to the end. Gary Bracey once said that Ocean were the biggest games company in the world. As such if you want to know nearly everything there is to know about " Ocean " who I'd class as one of the greats, you should seriously watch this video!

Robocop +8DFHIR - Nostalgia bug fixes a mighty C64 game!
I cannot believe we nearly missed out on this great Nostalgia C64 scene release and if it wasn't for our good friend Asger Bonnevie we probably would have! Let me just shout the game name out in large caps to grab your attention 'ROBOCOP'. That's right retro heads this is Robocop originally published by Ocean in the 80's, that's once again available for the C64, but this time has been fully bug fixed, NTSC fixed, a damn fine trainer added, and a brilliant intro by Nostalgia themselves!
Robocop Prime - Another Amstrad CPC styled game by Carnivac gets an update!
I must admit when it comes to games that are developed in a style similar to classic computers, Carnivac is one to impress. Although I have yet to play a game from Carnivac, he has so far shown us two highly detailed games that are in development for the PC, but hoping to have it ported over to the Amstrad CPC. Two of those games are Cosmic Commando and Roland of Sherwood. However today's update is for another game we've yet to give a good mention to, is Robocop Prime, which the developer has noted is still being worked on in two new screenshots.
RoboCop Classic - Game movie classic gets a ZX PC update
Before I begin with this write up, I would just like to apologize for the lack of articles this weekend as due to ill health which took hold last Friday I was unable to write anything for our readers. But back on topic, today's game is an update to the previous 80's Park Production RoboCop release and now features not only a ' RoboCop Classic ' rename, but co-op, and both Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum graphics at smooth 60fps scrolling!
Mutant League Hockey [AGA] - Unreleased Amiga game sees light of day thanks to Scoopex! [UPDATE]
After days of waiting and much anticipation we are here to mention one of the finest Scoopex releases we've seen for some time. This is ' Mutant League Hockey ', an ice hockey game with a difference that was actually released for the Sega Genesis in 1994 by Ocean but was never released on the Amiga, as it was canned (at least until today!). That's right Scoopex have gone all out for Amiga gamers, with the original supply by Getafix/CMAP and cracked by none other than Galahad, you too can finally play this incredibly fun game on your Amiga. One that should've appeared all those years ago!

Lethal Weapon - Amiga action platformer is now PC playable
Lethal Weapon developed by Ocean way back in 1992 is the latest game to get the PC playable treatment by The Company.PL. An action platform game based on the original Lethal Weapon movies in which you need to kill bad guys with different weapons across multiple platforms. The graphics, while decent enough for the time gave enough clarity to the demo while remaining both entertaining and having just the right amount of difficulty to be a challenge to most Amiga gamers.
Where Time Stood Still - NEW AMIGA GAME finally gets ported from ST version
