Ambermoon open source remake in progress of a fantastic CRPG! (PC/Windows)

Originally released in 1993 for the Amiga by Thalion Software, Ambermoon was the second part of an unfinished trilogy and sequel to Amberstar that was only released in Germany. In was an incredible RPG for its time, and featured 3D graphics that were considered revolutionary for the Amiga, but sadly for the company it couldn't save them from collapse.

KTRL CD32 - Third party gamepad for the Amiga / Amiga CD32 goes wireless

In the early part of this year we mentioned MickGyver's third party Amiga CD32 controller the 'ProCon KTRL CD32' was coming as a replacement to the original controller with a SNES style design at a much much lower price to that of the "Amiga CD32 Competition Pro Joypad Controller “Honey Bee” ". Fast forward beyond that however with sales complete, the designer is looking to take the KTRL CD32 to the next stage with wireless, but does state it is still at a work in progress stage.

EAB GameDev Competition is launched!

We don't often feature Amiga competitions, purely focused on the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum. But that's all about to change as we've been contacted by DamienD that the EAB forums are running a competition for the Amiga called the EAB GameDev Competition. This competition is for game developers from around the world to create a game of their choosing, and is a 6 month development cycle from the competition starting point to end. See the rules below for further details - Good luck!

Inviyya - In development Amiga Shoot Em Up gets its first demo!

We've been banging on about this game month after month, and finally after all this time we've just been contacted by Zbigniew 'Saberman' ZieliƄski, that Steril707's in development Shoot Em Up ' Inviyya ' has been teased with a final version of the Revision 2018 Amiga demo! Yes indeed a game that started its life with a first announcement via the EAB forums in October 2016 is ready for your clicky joystick to get in on the action.

RedPill games competition - AmigaWave aimed high with a new game-making contest!

We've just been contacted by kikems through the EAB forums, of a number of games that have been made available through the AmigaWave Redpill games competition, that is sure to impressive even the most hardy of Amiga gamers. This competition which looks to have ended earlier in June was run by AmigaWave creators of Else We Get Mad! and revolved around the creation of games using the newest of Amiga game creation software, RedPill. This creation software could well be the best yet as going by what we've seen so far, it supports very smooth frame rates and great design features.

Arctic Moves - Gun blasting platformer from the Atari ST gets an Amiga port!

It's once again back to writing and it's a bit of a special one for this evening, as our good friend DamienD has recently contacted us through the Amiga forums of a new-ish release that has appeared on the Amiga as a port from the Atari ST by meynaf. This is ' Arctic Moves ', the sequel to Dinamic's very addictive yet incredibly difficult action platformer Navy Moves which first appeared in 1989

Another World - The Lost Level - An incredible game gets a special addition by Earok!

Another World the platformer classic also known as Out Of This World and released across more than a dozen platforms since its 1991 debut, attained this cult status among critics and sophisticated gamers alike for its cinematic effects in the graphics, sound and cut scenes.  It was also one of the best retro games from the Amiga 500 and it wasn't until this year, the sequel on the SEGA CD was ported over to the Amiga as an incredible port known as ' Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga V1.0'. But today we are going to get even further for the original, as Earok has made available the Another World - Lost Level for the Amiga, which originally was part of the DOS library.

Super Mario Bros appears on the Amiga as a project called Other Super Mario

This year could almost be classed as the year of the Mario as it seems there has been no let up in that famous plumber either appearing on different systems as ports, fan games on the PC with Super Mario Bros. X 2.0, or hack jobs such as Communist Mario on the NES. And yet the year hasn't finished, as here we are again with another Super Mario Bros and this time Shigeru Miyamoto's game has been shown off on the Amiga as a project by Retro1234

Center Court 2 - Unreleased Amiga game is found and finally released

A bit of a late one this and one not to be missed, as after being informed by DamienD, we have learnt of an old Amiga game called ' Center Court 2 ' that was originally unreleased, is now available to the public. This Amiga game was actually authored by SecondService in the late 90's and had remained in an unfinished state on a harddrive that had become defective. Thanks to a member by the name of Python1 and eggman who then had the hard drive in their possession, the game was finally rescued from its corrupt state on the 9th of July.

Hunter HD - Action/Adventure classic remake reaches v003!

Many months a go we mentioned Cherno's early playable remake of the great Activision classic from 1991; a high grade 3D game with sandbox-type game play that by today's view point would be classed as a Grand Theft Auto and a Battlefield mix. It is in our opinion a great action adventure game which has been enjoyed by many for a good number of years. Thus it's our great pleasure to announce that Cherno has finally given himself a kick up the backside to release yet another update version with a ton of added features and improvements in the latest v003 build.

Dizzy EasyFlash Collection - Classic Dizzy compilation for your C64

If you have a C64 with an EasyFlash capable device such as the 1541 Ultimate or using the C64 emulator WinVICE, then you owe it to yourself to download and play the latest Dizzy EasyFlash collection. Thanks to Retro-Nerd from EAB after much nagging from myself, has put together this release which features pretty much all of the Dizzy games and even my requested Dizzy like game, Seymour. Main games list includes Dizzy, Treasure Island Dizzy, Fantasy World Dizzy, Magicland Dizzy, Spellbound Dizzy, Prince of the Yolkfolk, Bubble Dizzy and Crystal Kingdom Dizzy.

Boxx 2 - Lemming880 releases a fun homebrew sequel for the Amiga

As an Amiga owner and a fan of homebrew releases I was pleasantly surprised by the latest release of 'Boxx 2'; a new Amiga title developed by Lemming880 of EAB that features more than it's fair share of fun. A run and jump platform game developed in backbone where your goal is to collect all the coins and kill the baddies. Boxx 2 features worthy enough detail, bright colours and cool game play which would usually be found from indie developers on such sites as Gamejolt. A fun game indeed and one that works well enough even on the Amiga 500 & Amiga 1200.

Love Dungeon - A new Amiga take on Bruce Lee by jimmy2x2x

Jimmy2x2x of EAB contacted me late last night let me know about his latest Amiga release that's a new twist on the Bruce Lee game. Unlike the great original 1983/4 game where you collected lanterns to progress, in this one hearts must be collected to complete the level. Every heart must be collected in a set time limit to completion and if you beat the World Records you can unlock Monsters to fight and extra game modes. You can certainly see the inspirations as even the short clip music brings back memories of a Bruce Lee hit, it's just a shame the music doesn't play throughout the game itself.

Tearaway Thomas - Classic Amiga platformer gets a CD32 conversion!

As promised EAB user Earok has already gone onto the next Amiga game and has given it the full conversion to the classic Amiga CD32 console. Unlike the previous hit action classic we are now moving onto a more familiar platformer that has your hyper character moving through the levels, collecting all the gems before the time runs out.

Ambermoon - Incredible classic RPG - Amiga HD install ready!

After much nagging by myself, Ambermoon is now available in an easily playable HD package for your Amiga. Originally released in 1993 for the Amiga by Thalion Software, Ambermoon was the second part of an unfinished trilogy and sequel to Amberstar that was only released in Germany. In was an incredible RPG for it's time, and featured 3D graphics that were considered revolutionary for the Amiga, but sadly for the company it couldn't save them from collapse.

Where Time Stood Still - NEW AMIGA GAME finally gets ported from ST version

Over on EAB, Galahad has announced that the conversion of the isometric classic Where Time Stood Still has finally been finished. In 1988, Ocean released the Denton Designs made WTSS for the Spectrum, DOS CGA and Atari ST. However an Amiga version was never forthcoming from them. Until now...
