Flight of Pigarus - High score Shoot em up homebrewed for the Sega Master System
We haven't featured a Sega Master System homebrew for ages now, so to change all that here's a lovely little Shoot em up called ' Fight of Pigarus ' which was developed by Kagesan. Unlike most shoot em ups with an end goal to kill a boss and go on to the next level, this one requires the player to kills as many enemies and destroy as many buildings as possible to gain an ever higher score in the aloted time.
Bara Burū - A new Arcade homebrew for the Sega Master System
With all those Alex the Kidd games released this week, you'd probably think we were going to mention another one, but now it's time for something completely different. This is ' Bara Burū ', developed by Kagesan, for the Sega Master System. An Arcade game released during the coding competition 2016 with some rather interesting inspirations. In fact, if you went by what everyone else was saying on the forums, this is Shinobi Kidd meets Bubble Bobble!
Bruce Lee - Fantastic homebrew Sega Master System release!
In 1984 Datasoft released a brilliant arcade platformer called 'Bruce Lee' which was based on the famous motion picture martial artist. It was and still is a highly regarded platformer that is still loved to this day! It even has a great soundtrack which can be listened to many times over. Yet in 2013 Bruno R. Marcos released the PC successor Bruce Lee II and in 2015 Jonas Hulten released a true C64 port of Bruno R Marcos's release. But today we are going to go even further and announce the release of a homebrew port of the original Bruce Lee but for the Sega Master System!
Love Dungeon - A new Amiga take on Bruce Lee by jimmy2x2x
Jimmy2x2x of EAB contacted me late last night let me know about his latest Amiga release that's a new twist on the Bruce Lee game. Unlike the great original 1983/4 game where you collected lanterns to progress, in this one hearts must be collected to complete the level. Every heart must be collected in a set time limit to completion and if you beat the World Records you can unlock Monsters to fight and extra game modes. You can certainly see the inspirations as even the short clip music brings back memories of a Bruce Lee hit, it's just a shame the music doesn't play throughout the game itself.
