Boxx 2 Remake - A colourful platformer for the Amiga by Lemming880 is being remade via Scorpion Engine! (Beta 0.1)

Lemming880 has been mentioned a number of times on Indie Retro News, with games appearing such as Boxx, Boxx 2, Boxx 3 and even Boxx 4. Well here with another Amiga news story from the same creator, as he has released a beta remake of 'Boxx 2'. An enjoyable game originally from 2015 created in Backbone, which is currently being ported over to Earok's excellent Scorpion Engine using graphics by Koyot1222. To coincide with this news, Saberman was kind enough to do another video showing the beta in action.

Boxx 3 Remake - Another colourful platformer for the Amiga by Lemming880!

Lemming880 has been mentioned a number of times on Indie Retro News, with games appearing such as Boxx, Boxx 2, Boxx 3 and even Boxx 4 which was released earlier this year. Well here with another Amiga news story from the same creator, as he has released a beta remake of 'Boxx 3'. An enjoyable game originally from 2017 created in Backbone, which is now being ported over to Earok's excellent Scorpion Engine. To coincide with this news, Saberman was kind enough to do another video showing the game in action.

Boxx Remake - A rather enjoyable platformer by Lemming880 gets a new 1.0 build

As I said before, I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable Lemming880's platformer ' Boxx 2 ' and ' Boxx 3 ' was on the Amiga system! Especially as not only were they fun games to play, although developed using the slower engine backbone, they did have the added extra of bright and bold colourful detail by Koyot1222. So why are we mentioning these games again? Well we have just been informed by Saberman, that Lemming880 together with Koyot1222, has announced the release of the 'Boxx Remake 1.0'; the original game now ported over to the more impressive Scorpion Engine.

Boxx 4 Amiga - The sequel to a great platformer series by Retroguru is finally here!

As an Amiga owner and a fan of homebrew releases I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable Lemming880's platformer ' Boxx 2 ' and ' Boxx 3 ' was on the Amiga system, especially with added bright and bold colourful detail by Koyot1222. Both of these games were developed using backbone and required you the player to collect as many coins as possible, while avoiding deadly traps, killing bad bosses and aiming to reach the exit to complete the level.. So why are we mentioning these games again? Well check out the latest update below and you'll find out why :).

Lumberjack Platform - Tree chopping Amiga game is now a charming platformer!

Some time back we mentioned Megastyle & Protovision's C64 homebrew game of ' Lumberjack ', which put you in the mighty boots of a Lumberjack, chopping down trees as fast as he can, without being bashed by the big branches above. It was a highly addictive game on the C64 that was later ported over to the Amiga as a fantastic enhanced version thanks to Cobe and Lemming880. So why are we mentioning this awesome game again? Well as of today you can play Lumberjack Platform; a new Amiga platformer based around that very enjoyable title, with design by Lemming880, graphics by Koyot1222, support by Cobe and music by Tommy/Android.

Redpill Puzzle - Move the Diamonds in Lemming880's Amiga game

Another Amiga news story to set the evening and no not a hardware post, as we've been told by a good friend of ours that Lemming880 has released an updated version of his puzzle game ' RedPill Puzzle ' for the Amiga. This game developed using RedPill, is a Diamond moving puzzle game in which you need to move the coloured Diamonds around a maze into the grey coloured squares to win the level.

Lumberjack Reloaded - An enhanced C64-Amiga port is officially done! (Pre-Order)

Some time back we mentioned Megastyle & Protovision's C64 homebrew game of ' Lumberjack ', which put you in the mighty boots of a Lumberjack chopping down trees as fast as he can, without being bashed by the big branches above. It was a highly addictive game on the C64 that was later announced as a work in progress Amiga port as an almost 1:1 conversion thanks to Cobe and Lemming880. But now the news of the day is, this game is not only officially finished, but it's available to pre-order as a rather sweet looking box!

Lumberjack Reloaded WIP - An enhanced version of an already ported C64 to Amiga game

As we said before in our previous article last year via the CSDb database, the Megastyle, Protovision & Atlantis group released the C64 homebrew game of ' Lumberjack ', which put you in the mighty boots of a Lumberjack chopping down trees as fast as he can, without being bashed by the big branches above. It was a highly addictive game on the C64 that was later ported over to the Amiga as an almost 1:1 conversion thanks to Cobe and Lemming880. But now thanks to a great heads up by Solo Kazuki, an enhanced version is being developed titled as "Lumberjack Reloaded".

Lumberjack - Chop down a tree as fast as you can in this C64-Amiga conversion!

Last year via the CSDb database, the Megastyle, Protovision & Atlantis group released the C64 homebrew game of ' Lumberjack ', which put you in the mighty boots of a Lumberjack chopping down a tree as fast as he can, without being bashed by the big branches above. It was a charming little game with a bit of comedy mixed in which was met with positive comments such as this game is highly addictive. So if you've played it and would rather experience it on the Amiga, now you can, as Cobe and Lemming880  has done a fan made conversion tested on both an A500 and A1200.

Boxx Trilogy CD32/SX32 - Lemming880's Boxx bonanza on the Amiga CD32

As an Amiga owner and a fan of homebrew releases I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable Lemming880's platformer ' Boxx 2 ' and ' Boxx 3 ' was on the Amiga system, especially with added bright and bold colourful detail. Both of these games were developed using backbone and required you the player to collect as many coins as possible, avoid deadly traps, kill bad bosses and finally reach the exit to complete the level. But today's news is a Boxx bonanza, as Cobe, Earok and of course the all important Lemming880, have released the Boxx Trilogy for the CD32/SX32.

Boxx 3 - A brand new colourful platformer for the Amiga

It's time to put the Intellision and Vectrex aside and look towards another retro system, as earlier today Lemming880 released his latest Backbone platformer ' Boxx 3 ' for the Commodore Amiga. In this colourful game you play as a green guy who has to collect all the coins, avoid deadly traps, kill nasties and jump from platform to platform to reach the end exit. Once he's done all that, it's a level complete and it's on to the next ever harder stage.

Boxx 2 - Lemming880 releases a fun homebrew sequel for the Amiga

As an Amiga owner and a fan of homebrew releases I was pleasantly surprised by the latest release of 'Boxx 2'; a new Amiga title developed by Lemming880 of EAB that features more than it's fair share of fun. A run and jump platform game developed in backbone where your goal is to collect all the coins and kill the baddies. Boxx 2 features worthy enough detail, bright colours and cool game play which would usually be found from indie developers on such sites as Gamejolt. A fun game indeed and one that works well enough even on the Amiga 500 & Amiga 1200.
