Boxx 2 Remake - A colourful platformer for the Amiga by Lemming880 is being remade via Scorpion Engine! (Beta 0.1)

Lemming880 has been mentioned a number of times on Indie Retro News, with games appearing such as Boxx, Boxx 2, Boxx 3 and even Boxx 4. Well here with another Amiga news story from the same creator, as he has released a beta remake of 'Boxx 2'. An enjoyable game originally from 2015 created in Backbone, which is currently being ported over to Earok's excellent Scorpion Engine using graphics by Koyot1222. To coincide with this news, Saberman was kind enough to do another video showing the beta in action.

Boxx 3 Remake - Another colourful platformer for the Amiga by Lemming880!

Lemming880 has been mentioned a number of times on Indie Retro News, with games appearing such as Boxx, Boxx 2, Boxx 3 and even Boxx 4 which was released earlier this year. Well here with another Amiga news story from the same creator, as he has released a beta remake of 'Boxx 3'. An enjoyable game originally from 2017 created in Backbone, which is now being ported over to Earok's excellent Scorpion Engine. To coincide with this news, Saberman was kind enough to do another video showing the game in action.

Code name Hell Squad - Amiga CD to HD as a playable sci-fi action adventure!

No sooner had we mentioned DamienD's Amiga CD to Hard Drive conversion of the high quality isometric game 'Wasted Dreams', that another game was also converted over and that was the action adventure ' Code name Hell Squad ', which again was also developed by the same team Digital Dreams Entertainment and released in 2000. Shockingly enough some say this is one of the last ever games released commercially on the system and if it wasn't for these developers contacting the original dev's of this game, when it was known as Hellpigs by Classica Entertainment (link), it probably would've never seen the light of day!

Wasted Dreams - DamienD Amiga CD to HD conversion with an isometric action adventure

DamienD is up to his usual tricks again as once more he's looked towards a range of Amiga CD's, and converted the Amiga CD game ' Wasted Dreams ' to a bare-bones .HDF and .LHA file for easy play without the original CD. Now many of you probably haven't heard of this game, which isn't surprising considering it was released in 1999, but Wasted Dreams was developed by Digital Dreams Entertainment and is classed as a high quality isometric action game with adventure elements, but with a rather poor voiceover that does the voices for pretty much everything!

The Big Red Adventure - Multi-platform Adventure game, gets a DamienD Amiga release

In 1995 Core Design released ' The Big Red Adventure ' as a sequel to a very fun and comedic Adventure game ' Nippon Safes Inc ', which was released on multiple platforms such as the PC, as well as a CD-ROM for the Amiga 1200 and A4000 in 1997 by Power Computing. This rather well known game, which takes place in Russia after Michael Gorbatsjov's Perestroika, has been unofficially re-released for the Amiga by DamienD but this time without the need for the CD.

Boxx 3 - A brand new colourful platformer for the Amiga

It's time to put the Intellision and Vectrex aside and look towards another retro system, as earlier today Lemming880 released his latest Backbone platformer ' Boxx 3 ' for the Commodore Amiga. In this colourful game you play as a green guy who has to collect all the coins, avoid deadly traps, kill nasties and jump from platform to platform to reach the end exit. Once he's done all that, it's a level complete and it's on to the next ever harder stage.
