Ahh Centipede what a game that was! A game that was not only released as a vertical fixed shooter by Atari in 1980, but it also featured as a rather cheesy but nostalgic Pixel movie. Well here's a nod to a game in which you originally had to protect your garden against not just spiders and scorpions, it's 'Slither'. A Centipede-style game that features alien enemies, and your own powerful space ship to blow them away. Welcome to Centipede for the C64 as an emulator by Norbert. MECHWARS: CENTIPEDE - A rather cool looking Centipede inspiration is coming to the ZX Spectrum

Well today's news came as a complete surprise to us via the Speccy forums, as we have just found out that the same team behind those games, is working on a Centipede inspiration called MECHWARS: CENTIPEDE; a new game for "ZX-Dev Media&Demakes" compo which has been teased in this latest project video viewable below.

The Hidden Farts have now cracked alligator software's 1983 arcade style shooter 'Bug Blaster' for the C64. A game that's inspired by the arcade title Centipede, Bug Blaster is a single screen shooter where you must destroy a Centipede that moves from the top of the screen towards you at the bottom.
