Iridium - A rather cool inspiration of Uridium gets a Windows release


A long time ago Hewson Consultants made great games for old retro computers such as the fantastic Uridium, Paradroid, Cybernoid, Exolon, Nebulus and many more were just some of the games they released that many of us have played and enjoyed. Well if you loved playing Uridium and want to play a game that's inspired by that classic but blasting its way on to modern systems, then you might be interested in playing 'Iridium'; an eagerly awaited retro inspired shooter that was released just this week by Nebula Design.

If you were a huge fan of that classic game 'Uridium ' which was released in the late 80's for the C64 Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro, NES, Virtual Console and MS-DOS, or the high grade modern version from the original team Hewson Consultants called ' Hyper Sentinel '. Then you'll probably be over the moon to hear from Nebula-Design, that their kick ass Uridium inspired game of ' Iridium ' is a Kickstarter success raising £2,671 and 27 days still to go.

I'm sure many of you are aware by now of Hewson Consultants upcoming ' Hyper Sentinel ', which is a high grade modern version of the retro classic Uridium due next month. But you probably didn't know there is also another version out there giving us that Uridium vibe which is called ' Iridium '. This game that we have mentioned before, is an unofficial fan based PC remake, and is currently being developed by James Roberts shown off as a new alpha build.

In fact during the early part of this year the team behind that famous company launched the Kickstarter campaign for ' Hyper Sentinal ' which was a high grade modern version of Uridium. It was just a shame it wasn't a success and now we are looking towards James Roberts unofficial fan based PC remake as ' Iridium ' to get our side scrolling shoot em up fix.
