We've always had a soft spot for that classic Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and DOS game 'Rick Dangerous'; a very challenging action platformer from the late 80's, that made you feel like an Indiana Jones character traversing dangerous locations such as caves and temples while avoiding the bad guys and deadly boulders and spiked traps. Well if you remember this fine game (some people didn't like it) you'll be overjoyed to learn that as of today, you can download the SAM Coupe conversion which has been released by Anton Javorček requiring 512KB of Memory Expansion.

Sploids - A highly enjoyable yet challenging puzzler for the SAM Coupe
SAM Coupé gamers you might be interested in this news update, as we've just been given the heads up by a good friend of ours, that the fast paced reaction puzzle game of ' Sploids ', which also appeared on the Pokitto and ZX Spectrum, has been made available via BlackJet for the SAM Coupe. A game which is a nice puzzle game based on Photon Storm's Quarter and also released via another developer for the Atari 2600 and Supervision as Assembloids by Martin Wendt.

Last year I gave you the heads up for a new work in progress port of the classic The Oliver Twins game ' Treasure Island Dizzy ', which is coming to the Sam Coupe. Currently in development by Adrian Brown, this version is being reverse engineered from the Amiga with inclusive graphics and maps that have been extracted into the Sam Coupe system. As of today the developer has released an updated work in progress footage which shows improvements over the Amiga version including scrolls that unroll and roll up like the ZX Spectrum and something else was also added which you need to see for yourself.
Treasure Island Dizzy - Gets a Sam Coupe WIP version and it's impressive!
From when I was a youngster I have always been a Dizzy fan, I loved everything about the games with every single adventure that little egg has been in. I spent so many hours playing them that it was just so much fun collecting items, talking to the Yolkfolk Villagers, solving puzzles and trying not to die. About the only disappointment I had this year was with The Oliver Twins and Yolkfolk (Fan based Dizzy games) who I have supported for all these years, who didn't even give us a mention for the first newly announced Wonderland Dizzy article ( yes I nearly gave up on Dizzy, I felt so strongly! ). But what brought me back into it apart from other Dizzy gamers, was Adrian Brown's newly announced ' Treasure Island Dizzy ' for the Sam Coupe
