This is a rather cool project for a Kickstarter and one that I've not seen before. Unlike most Kickstarters we've featured here have been games, this is oh so slightly different. This Kickstarter, which has already gone way past it's goal, is going to be a two hour feature length documentary featuring some of the best game developers of our time, going way back to 1979! It's also a true story of the British Video Games Industry and how a small number of great individuals shaped this industry.
Matthew Smith, David Braben, Gary Penn, Rob Hubbard, Julian Rignall, Martin Galway, Jeff Minter and many many more will be featured in a number of interviews and yes the games will be shown as well. What's more if they reach their dream stretch goal of £100k, all backers will receive a free upgrade of the Special Edition version of the film which as well as the film contains an extra 2 hours of special features and extended interviews!
Currently, the Kickstarter has smashed it's goal of £18,000 which is at a very decent £45,520 and rising. Remember if they hit £100K all you backers will get an extra 2hrs of footage, Nice!
