King’s Quest IV – The Perils of Rosella : Adventure Remake of a Sierra classic! (Demo)

Of all the Adventure games we've posted on Indie Retro News, prepare yourself to be blown away by Kings Quest IV - The Perils of Rosella, an incredible remake of a Sierra Classic. The original was released in 1988 and was the first major graphical computer adventure game that featured a female main character.  The developers have thrusted this remake into a complete graphical overhaul to blow you away. The details of not just the characters but the background details are a beauty to behold!

You'll also come across some great characters, the talk portrait (with matching facial expressions) and beautiful ambient sounds. An Adventure game not to be missed!
You take the role of the young princess Rosella, daughter of king Graham and queen Valanice of Daventry. After traveling to the islands of Tamir, a mysterious, far away land, it’s up to to you to discover its secrets and explore the treacherous land of legends.
The game features the following:
  • A vibrant 3d version of the land and people of Tamir
  • A new and improved dialog system
  • Additional animated cutscenes and closeups
  • Improved gameplay elements
  • Tweaked music and sound effects
  • Alternative endings
A demo is now available from the website, however the website isn't the best to browse and is currently suffering from slowness. Don't let that put you off this brilliant remake which is still in development.
