Oh Mummy - One of the best Amstrad games, remade for the PC!

We have just had some fantastic news in our inbox from our good friends RetroTaku, as that all time classic Amstrad game ' Oh Mummy ' from 1984, has been remade by Crozza in far higher detail for the PC. Originally developed by Gem Software and published by Amsoft, Oh Mummy was one of the best games from my childhood, it had fun gameplay revealing lost Egyptian treasures, deadly mummies that needed to be avoided, and a soundtrack that has lasted the ages!

Although the game did appear on other platforms, Amstrad being the main one, the gameplay is the same in the original as it is in this remake. In this game you must reveal all the treasures by using your footprints as a guide to surrounding each tomb. In order to complete the level, it is necessary to unveil the key and a tombstone, but be careful, it isn't always a treasure as sometimes another Mummy will appear, that can only be damaged by a scroll. If you touch a Mummy you will get hurt!

This is in fact a very nice remake, with gameplay and music intact just like the original, but what I am not overly keen on, is the isometric style and movement. It took a little getting used to as I only remember playing the game in a top down view. But as it is free and downloadable, you wont get many complaints from me!
