Harrier Attack Reloaded - Amsoft's classic is unofficially coming to the Amiga

Whenever someone mentions Harrier Attack I always think of the times spent on the Amstrad CPC, playing that awesome game by Amsoft released way back in 1984; a game in which you play as a British Harrier Jet, and could fly across the landscape on bombing runs destroying both enemy buildings and aircraft. Thankfully other retro gamers love this classic which appeared on the CPC, C64, Oric and ZX Spectrum, as tonnyrh is working on an Amiga version targeting a stock PAL Amiga 500 with 512 KiB chip RAM and 512 KiB expansion RAM.

Harrier Attack Reloaded - An enhanced classic for the Amstrad CPC Plus by Chris Perver

I never thought I'd see the day that an Amsoft game, more especially Harrier Attack, would be getting an enhanced edition. It is one of the best games I have ever played on the Amstrad CPC 464, and to see it remade for the Amstrad CPC Plus by Chris Perver fills me with retro joy. Originally Harrier Attack was released in 1984 and the concept of the game was to fly a British Harrier Jet across the landscape on bombing runs destroying both enemy buildings and aircraft.

Space Hawks - Amsoft Amstrad game ported over to the Sega Master System

Going back even further in time now, right back to the 1980's. As KanedaFr has released the Amstrad to Sega Master System conversion ' Space Hawks ', that was built for the SMS Power! devkitSMS Coding Competition 2016. Now if you've never heard of this game, it was released in 1984 by Amsoft/Durell software and is classed as a Space Invaders, Galaxian , Pheonix clone with multiple enemy types in close formation, moving left to right that need to be blasted. The difference being in this one, destroyed enemies fall towards you like bombs!

Amstard CPC Longplay & Review - "Quack A Jack" by Xyphoe!

Anyone for scrambled ("Terraductile"?!) eggs? Well in this Amstrad longplay you take control of Red Jack the duck trying to escape the palace dungeons whilst stopping the Terraductile eggs hatching and collecting as much loot as possible along the way! "Quack A Jack" is an early Amsoft game, and one of my favourites as a kid! It's long forgotten game well worth checking out for a quick fun blast!
