It's amazing to think that Megaman also known as Rockman, is one of Capcom's most famous game franchises and one of the most renowned games of all time. It was first released in 1987 on the NES and has spawned many other Mega Man games in the series including games made by the fans. And it is this fan game ' Mega Man 2.5D ' which aims to impress with not just high grade retro styled visuals, but fantastic gameplay, achievements and local co-op!
Created by Peter Sjöstrand, Mega Man 2.5D was developed using XNA 4 and BEPU as a physics engine with Autodesk Maya used for modelling and textures for many stages of the game. Furthermore the game also features 2.5 visuals although it does change perspective to give it an almost 3D look. In all if you are a fan of Mega Man yourself or just want something wicked to play, then play Mega Man 2.5D, because it looks so damn cool Capcom might take it down for good.
