Yes you probably already know about Locomalito, the same designer behind the fantastic Ghouls 'n Ghosts style game of Maldita Castilla, and many other awesome retro styled games such as l'Abbaye des Morts, but today's news is certainly worthy of a shout! As we've learnt that the high grade shoot em up 'Super Hydorah' published by Abylight Studios, is not only on Steam, but it's going to be released 20th September and developed by Gryzor87 and Locomalito!
As we said before originally Hydorah was released some time ago as a really good free Shoot em up with influences from Gradius, Castlevania and R-Type. It allowed you the player to choose the path you wanted to follow and fight planet by planet against hordes of enemies with features such as intense levels with fantasy spacial landscapes, unlockable weapons, secrets, and a large library of foes and bosses.
But now the game is going to be far far better as a super edition, with 21 levels divided into 35 sublevels, 35 bosses and more than 100 enemies, Single player, Co-op multiplayer and Robot Chase spin-off modes, dangers of a different nature in each level (not just bullets), weapon choices, power ups, wicked soundtracks, secrets and much much more!
