Moon Cresta - A faithful recreation of an Arcade classic for the Amiga via Johnny Acevedo(Amiten Games)

The Commodore Amiga scene gets another addition, with the release of a performance recreation of the arcade classic, Moon Cresta. Developed by Johnny Acevedo under the Amiten Games banner, this "from-scratch" build serves as a free tribute to the 1980s Nichibutsu original and a salute to François Lionet, the creator of AMOS. Furthermore unlike many modern retro efforts, this project is not a code conversion or a simple port. Developer Johnny Acevedo meticulously reconstructed the game piece by piece to mirror the original arcade mechanics.

GothicVania - A Castlevania inspired work in progress game for the Amiga

Amiten Games upcoming Castlevania inspired game called 'GothicVania' has been updated with a new 2026 preview that can be downloaded right now. A new preview that features some of the levels within the main game, as well as many of the baddies that you'll have to deal with. Do beware however one of the levels does feature a lot of screen flashing, which may be too much for some of our light sensitive readers (me included).

Holy Warrior - Embark on a perilous mission in this new Amiga game update from Amiten Games

We've recently been informed via Saberman through his Youtube channel and Tom from EAB, that you can now download the new Commodore Amiga game update of Holy Warrior by AMITEN GAMES. A new Arcade Platformer in which playing as the holy warrior who has risen from the shadows, you must face the evil that has threatened to consume everything. Zorkland - A classic-style WIP arcade shooter by Amiten Games for the Commodore Amiga

It's too HOT and it's a Sunday, so I should be chilling with a nice Cider and the fan on full power! But Saberman was quick to give me the heads up on his return from holiday, about a new Commodore Amiga demo that's recently surfaced, called 'Zorkland' by Amiten Games. A classic-style arcade shooter that he says is "A lost gem from 2013, reborn in 2025!". Santa Claus Xmas Season 2022 - Yet another Christmas game and this one is by Amiten Games

You can just tell it's Christmas with all these lovely festive games appearing on Indie Retro News, and one which caught our eye was the latest tease from Amiten Games called  'Santa Claus Xmas Season 2022'. Yes indeed another Christmas Amiga game has appeared and while so far this game is only for supporters and friends of Amiten Games, it does look like an enjoyable game for all the family with the aim of stopping the bad guys from throwing poor Santa into a pit.
