Deuteros (bfernhout) - Build 465 of a remade strategy classic!
Bfernhout is still hard at work in developing his PC port of the hit Amiga strategy classic "Deuteros" and today's release not only fixes the shuttle bug, but also allows you to take off and stay in orbit of the Earth for the very first time. Hopefully the final version comes out next year as this was one of the best sci-fi sequels where you can mine for resources on the planet and from asteroids, research new technology, build ships to colonize the stars and fight in mass space battles.
Deuteros (bfernhout) - Build 415 of a remade strategy classic!
The latest bfernhout remake release of Deuteros is now available to download. Currently at version 415 and still in a very early alpha state, this remake is of a grand space strategy game originally released in the early 90's by Ian Bird. Although the game isn't yet playable, it does give you a glimpse of what the game is like and features production, research and team management. Bfernhout is constantly updating the game and hopes to have the final version out as soon as possible.

We've just been informed via EAB that the latest bfernhout remake release of Deuteros is now available to download. Currently at version 317 and still in a very early alpha state, this remake is of a grand space strategy game originally released in the early 90's by Ian Bird. Sequel to the original epic Millennium 2.2 and a very playable game for it's time, you can mine for resources on the planet and from asteroids, research new technology, build ships to colonize the stars and fight in mass space battles.
Deuteros Remakes - Top quality space strategy revival
When people say to me what game do you remember the most, I'm usually quick to respond with Deuteros on the Amiga 500. It was a game like no other, a sci-fi space strategy game in which you mined for resources on the planet and from asteroids, researched new technology, and built ships to colonize the stars. Yet what made this Ian Bird game so brilliant was not only was it a sequel to the previous hit Millennium 2.2, it had a unique space design style that I feel no game has matched. Yet through all these years and talks of a remake, it wasn't until this year that two fans (Gambit/bfernhout) set about reintroducing the game into the PC crowd.
