Alloy Box - Punch and shoot your way through this new Amstrad CPC game from cngsoft

CNGSoft are no strangers to us on Indie Retro News, creating very enjoyable games such as The World Of Hire Hare, Duck Out, FROGALOT, Justin, BB4CPC and The Adventures of Timothy Gunn to name just some of the awesomeness from them. Well thanks to a double heads up today from both Xenomorph and ClassicReplay, we've been told CNGSOFT has released their new game of Alloy Box; An Amstrad game in which you must sneak into an enemy compound and recover the valuable secret hidden within.

Dire Dare - An incredible Amstrad CPC game entered into the CPCRetroDev 2022

While many of you are probably still enjoying the latest Amstrad CPC release of the hit classic of TOKI, there's another game that's well worth a load, and it's CNGsoft's latest game of Dire Dare. An Isometric action game with nods to classics such as Atic Atac. In this game entered into the CPCRetroDev 2022, you takes the role of sorceress Hecatia, whose goal is to locate and defeat Glanosuchus and Alopecodon, hidden in opposite corners of the mansion. In light of this news our good friend XeNoMoRPH has done a gameplay video showing how good this game looks and sounds as a top entry into the competition.

The Adventures of Timothy Gunn - The high grade Amstrad games just keep on coming!

CNGSoft are certainly no slouch when it comes to great Amstrad games, games such as The World Of Hire Hare, Duck Out, FROGALOT, Justin and BB4CPC to name but a handful. But now it looks as if CNGSoft are about to go all out once again, as they have announced through the CPCRetroDEV competition ' The Adventures of Timothy Gunn '; an action packed shooting game that would fool anyone to think it was released as a commercial product!

Hire Hare - CPCRetroDev 2016 second place PRO award winner is now available for the Amstrad CPC

If you are a fan of the Amstrad CPC or have been following our news stories, you've probably already heard of the in development isometric game Hire Hare for the Amstrad CPC. But if you haven't, Hire Hare was made by Cesar Nicolas Gonzalez ( CNGSOFT) with cover art by DracuOfTheFuture, also coming second place in the PRO awards at the CPCRetroDev 2016. It puts you in control of the sorceress Hecatia who has to collect nine black lamps, through a dungeon to defeat the evil warlock Lycurgus with a secondary goal to collect keys and unlock ten treasure chests. Sound like your sort of game? Good! Because just moments ago the first version was made available for download!

Hire Hare - A lovely isometric Amstrad game is in development

The Amstrad scene has really kicked it up a notch, what with the recent preview release of the jaw dropping Amstrad port version of Pinball Dreams from the Amiga. But now another game is in development, and this one is an isometric adventure game by CngSoft and is called 'The World Of Hire Hare' or 'Hire Hare' for short. Although not much is known about the game as it will be previewed at RetroDev2016 in Madrid, a short video teaser has been released which shows great isometric graphics, smooth animation, magical based shooting, different enemy types and a great soundtrack.

Duck Out - Beat em up Amstrad CPC game gets a new tease!

At the beginning of this month ( May ) we gave everyone the heads up of a new Amstrad game in the works called 'Duck Out', which was to be ported from the ZX Spectrum but looking oh so much better with improved speed. First released in 1989 as a 2D side-scrolling beat em up, whereby the player controlled a duck with a frying pan, has now got a new trailer which shows just how good an Amstrad CPC can scroll while looking to be oh so much fun too!

Over these last few days a few members have been commenting that we don't do enough Amstrad CPC releases, which to be fair is true, however this is difficult for us because there hasn't really been any new CPC titles to talk about unlike the C64 and ZX Spectrum. But today we do have a game to show you called 'Duck Out', originally by Dro Soft that is currently being ported to the Amstrad CPC!
