Orbital Rescue - A C64 homage to a 1982 classic, gets a full release by RunStop64

We've featured lots of Amiga lately, but now it's time for the C64 to get in on the retro gaming fun, as Saberman was kind enough to contact us this morning, that RunStop64 has released the full version of his new C64 game of 'Orbital Rescue'; a game that is not only a homage to the 1982 classic of Jupiter Lander, but it is also as a mash up of Choplifter, and Fort Apocalypses. To coincide with this news story, Saberman has also done a gameplay video which can be viewed below.

HeliCommander - Atari 8-bit Action game inspired by Choplifter available on cartridge


Once again it is back to the AtariAge forums as we've just found out Peter J Meyer with Lance Ringquist has officially released on Cartridge their new game ' HeliCommander ', which is inspired by the arcade version of Choplifter and the Activision game Chopper Command. According to peteym5 this side scrolling shooting game is for the Atari XL/XE and is priced at $39.95 with a 5200 version coming soon!

Tujate - Side scrolling shooter inspired by the classics is free to play


Some more PC gaming news for you today and still sticking with the retro theme, is Hijong Park's side scrolling shooter ' Tujate ', which again is available free to play for the PC. Developed using Game Maker Studio, Tujate is inspired by those great classic games defender, choplifter, and cybernoid, and puts you in control of the ultimate fighter destroying enemy targets, waves of enemies and above all saving citizens from the Aliens ' Yadcian '.
