Frostbite - Atari to C64 conversion #3 from Chopper Command team gets a release!


Great news for this rather cold and frosty Sunday, as we've just been told by Antonio Savona, that the same team behind the Atari to C64 conversion of Chopper Command and the previously released Keystone Kapers. Has now announced the release of the next game in the trilogy line up, as the classic game 'Frostbite'; A game originally released by Steve Cartwright for the Atari 2600, and published by Activision way back in 1983!

Keystone Kapers - Another Atari to C64 conversion is coming from Chopper Command team!


While many of you had the chance to play the stonkingly good Atari to C64 conversion of Chopper Command by Antonio Savona, Steven Day, Saul Cross and Flemming Martins which was released only recently. It looks as if we will have another game to enjoy in their conversion line up, because as of this weekend we've learnt they are also working on a full Atari to C64 conversion of the 1983 game 'Keystone Kapers' by Activision.

Indie Retro News have been given the heads up that Chopper Command is currently in the process of being released, and will be available to download this evening.  Final bug testing was completed this week after we helped Beta test the game live on Twitch.  It was streamed on my twitch channel at hayesmaker64 and together with eagle eyed viewers we spotted a number of small descrepencies between the Atari 2600 original and the C64.

I'm Really pleased to announce that we've been given access to play test the BETA version of the brand new C64 Chopper Command port from Antonio Savona and Steven Day.  Antonio reported yesterday that the game was feature complete, with just SFX and difficulty fine tuning left to do.

HeliCommander - Atari 8-bit Action game inspired by Choplifter available on cartridge


Once again it is back to the AtariAge forums as we've just found out Peter J Meyer with Lance Ringquist has officially released on Cartridge their new game ' HeliCommander ', which is inspired by the arcade version of Choplifter and the Activision game Chopper Command. According to peteym5 this side scrolling shooting game is for the Atari XL/XE and is priced at $39.95 with a 5200 version coming soon!
