While the admin is currently out of action being un-well I thought it best to give a shout out to Tardis Remake/Sokurah's brand new ZX Spectrum remake, titled as ' Vallation Escape the pirate planet '. A game which has only just been released, was originally a C64 2013 RGCD 16K cartridge competition entry by T.M.R and is classed as an action shooter, with puzzle like elements as you try to escape an enemy complex while also trying to avoid getting shot by enemies, colliding with missiles or cut in half by the laser barriers!

Shark +2 - Enjoyable Shooter re-released by Fairlight for the C64

In 1989 Players Premier released the rather enjoyable shooter ' SHARK ' for the C64 and ZX Spectrum. It had a great menu tune by Digital Light and Magic, with coding, graphics and sound by Phillip Ruston. Some would class it as a Cybernoid clone as the game play is very similar with screen switching, missiles being fired from above and below, static objects shooting at you and difficulty being at an all time high. Thankfully you can now play this game again as Fairlight have re-released the game with a trainer, as a test for preserving digital media. ( The original was cracked in 1998 by Remember ).
