It's not often we feature books or magazines, especially as there's just so many out there it's hard to keep up. But with a quick check of Facebook, looking for the latest gaming news to share, and I was kindly given the heads up, that our readers should check out the ongoing Amiga Germany Fan’zine. A magazine in which we've been told is a passionate project dedicated to both the Amiga and the German retro community. To coincide with this news, we've got the full details and link below.

AmtixCPC Micro Action Issue 1 Released!

Retro Fusion Books, publishers of the reborn Crash and ZZAP64!, as well as their original publication Fusion gaming Magazine, have dipped their toes into the Amstrad CPC scene and given new life to the classic Amtix magazine in the form of this new bi-monthly publication, AmtixCPC Micro Action.

Spearheaded by Chris Wilkins and Colin Bell, an ensemble of writers from the Amstrad retro community including Al 'Xyphoe' White, Zoe Kirt-Robinson and myself, Novabug will bring you reviews of new and classic games, featured articles about the machines and software, news from the existing CPC scene and loads more. It's terrific to have once again, a dedicated magazine in print for the Amstrad CPC, the too often discarded system of the classic 80's 8-bit micro trio.

Crash Annual 2021 - Issue 101 - The latest upcoming Crash Annual smashes Kickstarter goal

Chris Wilkins has certainly been busy throughout the lifetime of Indie Retro News, launching successful Kickstarters such as The Story of the Commodore 64 in Pixels, The Story of the Oliver Twins, The Story of the ZX Spectrum in Pixels and of course multiple annuals having a pride of place on a shelf of a fellow retro gamer. But now unlike the previous write ups we've done giving you an early heads up, this time we are pleased to announce that the upcoming Crash Annual 2021 - Issue 101, has smashed its Kickstarter goal reaching an incredible £30,167 and still over 20 days to go!

Right from the word go, we did a big feature for Chris Wilkins latest Kickstarter ' The Fusion 2021 Annual '; an Annual which covers all the best bits of the previous Fusion magazines that feature all types of gaming including retro, modern, Indie, table top and even toys. So why is this getting another feature on IRN? Well fast forward to today and not only is this another successful Kickstarter for Fusion, but Chris of Fusion Retro Books has told us one of the latest pledges is none other than "Fusion Dizzy"

In 2018 we gave you the heads up regarding a great gaming magazine called ' Fusion ' which is jam packed full of gaming news and hardware features that is highly recommended in anyones gaming collection. Well if you've been reading the latest Fusion magazines and have ever grown up with an Amstrad CPC, you'll be delighted to learn that Chris Wilkins has launched the Fusion CPC issue; A Special issue of Fusion devoted just to the Amstrad CPC filling 52 pages in length and priced at just £1 for a PDF!

Fusion Issue 2 - The second issue to a great gaming mag is up for pre-order

In May of this year we gave you the heads up regarding a great gaming magazine called ' Fusion ' Issue 1, which is still available as a pre-order featuring not just gaming news but also Handhelds and even Table Tops. Remember not long ago when I was happy to mention the latest Amiga Future Magazine that was celebrating an impressive 20 years? Well good news as just recently we were again contacted to be told the latest Amiga Future Issue 132 is now available for purchase. Thankfully the magazine is available in both English and German, and can be ordered directly from the editorial office of Amiga Future, and the other Amiga dealers that stock the magazine.
