Super Cars III - PC remake of a top down racing classic!

What a great Boxing Day gift, as JOTD has just released the very latest PC version of "Super Cars III" which is his own remake of the hit action racing classic "Super Cars II". Originally developed by Magnetic Fields and published by Gremlin Graphics in the early 90's for Amiga & Atari ST, as you race around tough tracks, earning money, then purchasing better weapons and power-ups to beat the competition in one of the best top down Amiga racing games. Supercars III by JOTD is a Java / GTGE-powered remake of classic Super Cars / Super Cars II game from the Atari ST / Amiga, with stuff borrowed from those games and also from Supercars International (MS-DOS).

GeneRally 2 - Top down racer through Kickstarter funding

Curious Chicken Games have just announced through a Kickstarter campaign, a top down racing game where you race at breakneck speeds around corners, avoiding either the AI or other players. And that game is GeneRally 2, a sequel to the freeware, highly-moddable top-down arcade racing game first released in 2002. The developers have mentioned that GeneRally 2 will have a track editor, an official car editor, be moddable just like the prequel and have multi player. A very early Kickstarter demo is available and the final game will released for PC,Mac & Linux : March 2015.

The Next Penelope - Wipeout style in a top down perspective!
