HeliCommander - Atari 8-bit Action game inspired by Choplifter available on cartridge
Once again it is back to the AtariAge forums as we've just found out Peter J Meyer with Lance Ringquist has officially released on Cartridge their new game ' HeliCommander ', which is inspired by the arcade version of Choplifter and the Activision game Chopper Command. According to peteym5 this side scrolling shooting game is for the Atari XL/XE and is priced at $39.95 with a 5200 version coming soon!
If that wasn't enough to whet your appetite the game features Parallax scrolling creating a great 3D effect with colourful scrolling objects and backgrounds, enemies such as Choppers, Tanks, Bombers, Trucks and Bunkers, lots of challenging levels, great sound effects and much more to make this a worthy game for anyone who has an Atari Computer with 16K of RAM and 1 Joystick
