When the word was out that there was a Monkey Island style game on Kickstarter, I just had to see for myself, and sure enough there it was! Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler by Venture Moon Industries is a brand new 2.5D point and click adventure game for PC, Mac, Linux and Ouya that has a very strong LucasArts and Autumn Moon Entertainment flavour.
You play as Duke, a massive brutish pirate who wants to be a suave and sophisticated swashblucker, yet unlike most pirates he has a good heart and needs your help. Through the completion of three tasks he can finally convince his crew he can become a captain, the problem is even though, he isn't a bully and can only solve his problems by punching! Can he change his ways and lead the crew?
Duke Grabowski could be an incredible pirate adventure game, with high end detailed graphics, a great story, and a massive amount of Monkey Island style charm. You'll also be interested to know that the team behind the game are greats such as Bill "Curse of Monkey Island" Tiller, Gene Mocsy, author of 1954: Alcatraz and Jeremiah Grant, veteran of games like The Force Unleashed II and Rime.
You would be seriously missing out by not pushing this swashbuckling adventure to it's Kickstarter goal of $40,000. Yarrr WE NEED THIS GAME NOW!
