I'm sure many of you especially Amiga owners, will remember the brilliant 1990 Adventure game ' The Secret of Monkey Island, by Lucasfilm Games. Back to the Future Part III: Timeline of Monkey Island - Amiga fan demo, due soon?
The Amiga games just keep on coming, but unlike the homebrews and ports we announced through this month such as Starquake, The Real Brus Lii, Barbarian Plus and Uwol Quest For Money we now look towards a new adventure demo which may or may not come before Christmas. Titled as The Fan Game - Back to the Future Part III: Timeline of Monkey Island, this new game which was announced only recently through our Facebook page, looks to be a mash up of the Secret of Monkey Island and Back to the Future with classic LucasArts based graphics.

How would you feel if you came across an old disk of a long forgotten point and click adventure that was the true successor to Maniac Mansion? When the word was out that there was a Monkey Island style game on Kickstarter, I just had to see for myself, and sure enough there it was! Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler by Venture Moon Industries is a brand new 2.5D point and click adventure game for PC, Mac, Linux and Ouya that has a very strong LucasArts and Autumn Moon Entertainment flavour.
The Retro Collection - Part 2
I've always had a soft spot for the Amiga but it wasn't until recently that I went into overdrive mode in collecting Amiga and Amstrad based games. Yet some would probably call me crazy, my credit card probably would! But when you have so many good gaming memories from your childhood then there is no harm in reliving those days and admiring the exceptional work that when into not just the games, but the boxes themselves. However, in my opinion a collection isn't much of a collection if you don't have some of the best titles available on that platform for the time, well guess what, I have many of those very games!
