One game I remember so fondly is Cinemaware's fantastic medieval game ' Defender of the Crown ' from 1986. It was released for multiple systems including the Amiga, DOS, NES, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, C64, Macintosh and the Apple IIGS in 1988 with a CD-i version much later on. A grand game for its time and loved by all, has made an appearance on modern systems with a full remaster for PC through GOG and Steam, or consoles for PS5 and XBOX!

Defender of the Crown - All time classic game by Cinemaware is coming to the Intellivision!
One game I remember so fondly is Cinemaware's fantastic medieval game ' Defender of the Crown ' from 1986. It was released for multiple systems including the Amiga, DOS, NES, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, C64, Macintosh and the Apple IIGS in 1988 with a CD-i version much later on. A grand game for its time and loved by all, is going to make an appearance on another retro system, as we've just learnt Defender of the Crown is coming to the Intellivision through Elektronite!
All Commodore Amiga Games - Over 7 hours of Amiga gaming!

Defender of the Crown - ZX Spectrum edition by Cinemaware Retro limited to 250 units!
We've been keeping an eye on the speccy forums this week and after a heads up by our good friends Cinemaware Retro, they have announced the full details of the Defender of the Crown ZX Spectrum version. As many of you know, not long ago we spoke of a rare game by Mirrosoft that according to Cinemaware was never officially released, although some of our members have said otherwise. Yet this week as shown by the image above, Cinemaware Retro have told us the FIXED version is available for order, limited to just 250 units and shipping will begin October 2016.
Never released Defender of the Crown for the ZX Spectrum revealed!
One game I remember so fondly, one that will be in my mind till the day I pass, is Cinemaware's fantastic medieval game ' Defender of the Crown ' from 1986. It was released for multiple systems including the Amiga, DOS, NES, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, C64, Macintosh and the Apple IIGS in 1988 with a CD-i version released later. A grand game with jousting, rescuing damsels in distress, conquest and even catapults again castles that sadly never appeared on the ZX Spectrum as a commercial product by Mirrosoft. But now, thanks to a contact by none other than Cinemaware, they have revealed a full version of Defender of the Crown for the ZX Spectrum which will be released!

Defender of the Crown - One of Cinemawares greatest games is now on GOG!
After our last week announcement by Cinemaware, we are now delighted to further announce that Defender of the Crown is now available to buy on GOG.com This is one of many all time classic games that will be on gog from Cinemaware, but it's great to see that the developers have released this incredible Strategy game as the first in the line up of great games. Relive a defining moment in the Amiga's life time, as you play through medieval gameplay of conquering, tournaments, and damsel rescuing that set a high bar in stunning graphical presentation.
Cinemaware - Some of the greatest classics coming to GOG.COM!
We've just been informed by Cinemaware that they have announced a digital distribution agreement with GOG.com, the leading source of DRM-free games. Through this agreement GOG.com will be providing a selection of incredible classics that many of us grew up with; one such game being Defender of the Crown. What's more Cinemaware has mentioned that not only will the DOS version be sold, but also the very first Amiga games will also be sold with the DOS versions through GOG.

Later ports appeared on DOS, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Macintosh and CDI. Cinemaware are well known for creating amazing games, as such, one company even mentioned them as the definers of the Amiga. You'll be overjoyed to know that this is going to be just like the classic, Siege castles, win tournaments, free pretty girls and save the crown of England. Estimated release May, 2nd 2014.
Defender of the Crown - Classic Hit Strategy/Adventure Game (iOS)
Defender of the Crown, Cinemaware's classic hit strategy/adventure game, ported over from the Amiga(1986) is now available for all iOS systems. This is an all time favorite of mine and Cinemaware's very first game, even though it did have a multitude of ports. Assume the role of a Saxon (Wilfred of Ivanhoe, Cedric of Rotherwood, Geoffrey Longsword or Wolfric the Wild) and claim the country of England as truly yours.
