The designer behind the hit retro game such as Bruce Lee II and the retro inspired Maximus Action Carnage released a rather cool indie game in 2013 that has a slight twist to the original. This is Donkey-Me which is intended to be a collection of games, each of them inspired in a classic movie but with a Nintendo's Donkey Kong arcade game look. This is of course "Donkey Me Raiders of the Lost Ark", a game in which you need to jump over lots of enemies, whip creatures and climb ladders all to reach the fine lady at the top!

Even now I sit listening to the music during the main menu and look back to a golden age of gaming. But enough about that, the latest release of Shadow of the Beast Legacy by darkfalzx' for a multitude of systems has had another update!

Jumpman Forever - A very classic platformer for the modern era (Kickstarter)
Game Type : Retro Platformer
Kickstarter Goal : $20,000
Developer, Project By : Davis Ray Sickmon, Jr
Game Info Quote : We're bringing back Jumpman into a totally new set of truly old-school style video-game. Now, if you're familiar with classic video games, there's a good chance you've played Jumpman on a Commodore 64, Atari 400/800, IBM PC (including the Jumpman Lives! remake), Apple ][, or maybe one of the modern re-releases on the C64 TV setup or in the Wii's Virtual Library if you were in the UK. The core of Jumpman was a combination of a solid control system and puzzle based gameplay. Every level was a different set of challenges, ranging from just dodging the bullets, to malfunctioning robots, vampire bats, falling bombs, moving bombs, disintegrating platforms, to invisible levels who's layouts you have to discover. For those who are modern gamers, it requires the intelligent gameplay levels of Portal, while maintaining the old-school 2D twitch requirements of games like Donkey Kong.
