The news is spreading far and wide and that has come as no surprise to us, as just moments ago through our twitter page, we've found out that the publisher Dotemu with Viacom International and Tribute Games has announced the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge; an all new arcade brawler which reunites Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello and other fan favorites to kick shell in a beautifully realized pixel art world invoking the turtles’ classic 1987 design.

There is a general rule in life; you don’t mess with a classic. You are almost certainly setting yourself up to fail. Volkswagon tried with the re-launch of the ‘Mini’ and while the German version of the British classic car may be a solid vehicle and has racked up good sales, true fans of the original will say that the new car has none of the character that made it’s predecessor so revered. In recent years we have seen modern remakes of classic BBC comedies: ‘Yes Minister’ and ‘Porridge’. ‘Yes Minister’, despite being penned by the same writing team was an abhorrent mess, a complete insult to the class and quality that oozed from the original, and ‘Porridge’ (again from the pen of the original writers) while not quite as deeply unpleasant was still extremely forgettable. In a nutshell, if something has already been nailed, there is little point in trying to improve it.

Blazing Chrome - Contra styled game is looking mighty fine!

With Odallus: The Dark Call and Oniken under their belt, the developer JoyMasher are certainly no strangers to developing a varied selection of decent retro inspired games. But now it looks as if they are about to top all of them in quality as they have once again mentioned their seriously cool looking upcoming Contra styled game of ' Blazing Chrome ', which has since been shown off in a new Environments Trailer.

Life of Pixel - Multiple era fun in this upcoming Playstation 4/Vita release

Some years back we featured a fantastic game that had all of my childhood wrapped up into one neat little platformer, and that game was Life of Pixel by the developer Super Icon. It just looked so damn cool as it had a unique style to it that no other platformer had done at the time. It was a game dedicated to the brilliance of classic gaming machines and had you as a blocked pixel, traversing through many levels of retro gaming fun spread over 13 historic systems. As you traverse the levels collecting gems, the game takes on the graphical tone as if you were playing on that very machine!

Black Paradox - A Retro Inspired Side Scrolling Shooter Available July 27th with Demo Downloads

Black Paradox is a fast paced rogue-like shoot 'em up game with amazing pixel art and a Synth-Wave soundtrack by Fantastico Studio. The game will be released on Steam July 27th, with Xbox One, Ps4 and Nintendo Switch releases by end of September.

Chasm - A 2D Action Platformer with gorgeous artwork is coming July 31st, 2018!

In 2013 Bit Kid announced that their gorgeous game of Chasm had a Kickstarter success with over $152,000 pledged and was due to be released in May for PS4/Vita and PC. However that time had passed and the developers today announced the correct release date of July 31st for this incredible looking game that contains procedurally generated dungeons, loot drops, treasures, deadly enemies and tons of secrets to keep you busy!

Retro Reboot - Tempest 4000 Available Very Soon on Xbox One & PS4!

Here it is, an announcement of epic proportions packed with legend after legend; Atari will proudly be releasing a Retro Reboot of the epitomized arcade game Tempest, developed by the esteemed game designer Jeff Minter of Llamasoft fame!
