Tales of Gorluth III (Amiga) - The Third and Final Chapter with new dev videos!

As many of you are aware by now AmiWorx, who were behind the rather cool Amiga games Tales of Gorluth and Heroes of Gorluth, are currently working on the final chapter in the series with the upcoming Amiga game Tales of Gorluth III. Well if you have been following our news, you might be interested to know while we wait for the game to be finalized, the developers have released two pieces of footage, with one showing the current in development boss and another of a work in progress village.

Nogalious - Action RPG first game image teased for an in dev multi platform retrogame

Just moments ago Joseman via the CPCwiki forums linked a brand new game that is in development for the Amstrad, MSX, ZX Spectrum, C64 and even the PC. Known so far as Nogalious, this latest game is being developed by  LuegoL3go Studios is going to be an action RPG, that may well have a sequel. Although not much is known about the game so far, with very spare details, shown below is the very first game screenshot!

GRIM DAWN - An incredible action RPG is now available on GOG at 10% off!

Are you ready to play in my opinion one of the greatest action RPG's, that comes very close to the original Diablo and more enjoyable than Path of Exile, then you really should take a look at the latest addition to the GOG line up of ' GRIM DAWN ', developed by Crate Entertainment. A big Kickstarter success and further development through Early Access, GRIM DAWN is a top quality Action RPG that will keep you hooked for hours! It has many monsters, hundreds of lootable items, multiple class types, a skill tree, lovely graphical detail and some of the best gameplay I've personally experienced for some time. Slasher's Keep - A dungeon crawler with interesting features coming to Steam 2016

What do you get if you mix a dungeon crawling experience, with a blend of Dark Messiah Might and Magic and Skyrim? Most likely you'll end up with ' Slasher's Keep ' developed by Damian Schloter that has some rather interesting features. A Steam Greenlight success and due to be released on Steam this year, ' Slasher's Keep ' is a first person dungeon crawler with randomly generated dungeons and various traps that gives you the opportunity to skilfully smack enemies into them via a dynamic melee combat system.

AGGELOS - Colourful retro inspired platformer gets a Steam Greenlight campaign

I may not have played every Sega Mega Drive game when I was growing up, but that console had some truly amazing platformers such as Wonderboy in MonsterLand. They were highly addictive, had nice sound effects, chippy tunes, lots of levels and plenty of beasts to fight. So it stands to reason why we are now mentioning the Steam Greenlight campaign for a retro inspired ActionRPG platformer called ' AGGELOS ', that is very much like those great games!

Eitr - An action RPG you'll not want to miss!

Developed by Eneme Entertainment in partnership with Devolver Digital, 'Eitr' is the latest Action RPG that is at the highest point on my wishlist. It is an Indie game that doesn't just have great pixel art, but it looks to take on Diablo with inspirations from Dark Souls and Golden Axe and give the genre a kick up the rear. The game according to the developers, will be challenging, require timing and precision as players need to use a combination of blocking, combos, buffs and positioning to succeed in battle. In light of this news the creators have released a gameplay trailer!

Death's Gambit - A beautifully pixelated action RPG PS4 Reveal Trailer

Some time back now we gave you the first heads up over a gorgeous looking game called Death's Gambit, which is being developed by White Rabbit. Death's Gambit is a pixelated Action RPG sidescroller with rather impressive animation and visuals set in an alien medieval planet filled with horrors, beasts, and knights. Today the developers have just launched a PS4 Reveal Trailer that shows cutscenes and gameplay sequences in various locations that the player will visit and experience. In addition, there is an epic scene of the player riding a horse in a frozen wasteland as the camera zooms out to reveal a giant walking beside him.

Void Raiders - Action packed shooter is free to play!

Are you ready for the most action packed game we've seen this week so far! Welcome to Void Raiders; a top down randomly generated shooter, developed using the Game Maker Studio engine and released by Tryzna that is available for PC and completely free to play. Legends of Pixelia - Playthrough + Greenlit on Steam, and days left on Kickstarter!

Legends of Pixelia has been Greenlit by the Steam Community and is also now on Kickstarter which has met its stated goal. Hurray! Expanding beyond the first dungeon, early access version 0.82 has multiple dungeons and interesting monsters that you will encounter and fight in a bloody battle to the death (hopefully not yours).

The developer 'SolarFall Games' must be feeling overjoyed today as not only is their action open world RPG 'Umbra' a Steam Greenlight success, but they have also raised over 50% in Kickstarter funding in just a few days! Although we have featured the game twice now so we won't go into too much depth, Umbra is powered by CryEngine 3 and blends the hack and slash game play with state of the art graphics and truly modern AI inspired by the hit classic Diablo 2.

AURION Legacy of the Kori-Odan - Action fantasy game gets a new combo trailer

Action RPG's seem to be the in thing this week as another action RPG has now appeared which not only has a new trailer showing of climbing, combo, menu and walkthroughs but has also gathered a new publisher by the name of  Plug-In-Digital. This is AURION: Legacy of the Kori-Odan and you play as Enzo Kori-Odan the Prince of Zama who suffers a coup d'état from his brother in-law on the day of his coronation and marriage with Erine Evou. Exiled, you will need to fight your way through and gather enough support to reunite your Aurionic Heritage to retrieve the throne.

Great news for anyone that follows Game of Thrones and has kept an eye on CD Projekt Red's RPG 'The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt' as the latest video shows off a brand new behind the scenes video showing Charles Dance as Emhyr var Emreis ruthless Emperor of Nilfgaard in the Witcher 3. For those of you that haven't heard of Charles Dance, he is an English actor, screenwriter, and film director that has appeared in The Jewel in the Crown, Alien 3, The Golden Child, Dracula Untold, and as Tywin Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones.

If the previous shoot em up didn't wet your appetite how about a nice The Legend of Zelda, Minecraft and Starbound style mix that's just appeared on both Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight? This is 'Adventure Craft' by Edible Entertainment; A Procedurally Generated Action RPG which they claim will push the boundaries of what's been done with action RPG's and to create something truly special

Nekro - "General Tso" content patch added to demonic action RPG Nekro!

DarkForge Games have been toiling away at a massive update for their Steam early access game, Nekro; a very pretty action RPG that features a new update, MASSIVE bosses, in this case by the name of General Tso. Revel in the slaughter of the King’s corrupted lackeys as you uncover the alternately sinister and chuckle-worthy history of your creation. Legends of Pixelia - Action RPG of procedurally generated dungeons

Legends of Pixelia is an action RPG currently in development by Florian “Sima” Siemer (SimaGames), and features procedurally generated dungeons, modern gameplay mechanics along with retro pixelart. The game can be played via keyboard, however it is best to gather some friends and plug in multiple gamepads for player versus player combat and up to 4 player gameplay which looks to be a seriously fun aspect to this game.

Crystal Picnic - Colourful action-RPG now available

Crystal Picnic developed by Nooskewl is another retro inspired game that is full of both charm and colourful SNES styled detail. Join a sarcastic gardener and a wannabe knight as they journey across the kingdom chasing after ants who stole magic crystals from the castle. With hours worth of exploration, RPG stats, platform style combat and crazy enemies, this is one Action RPG we'd recommend!

Diablo 1 HD MOD - Belzebub - Demonic ARPG classic gets a glorious overhaul

Wojtek25, that guy from Diablo, has once again given us the prod to take a look at probably the best HD mod of Diablo you'll ever see. Titled "Diablo 1 HD MOD", codenamed Belzebub, overhauls many aspects of the Action RPG hit, that had gamers glued to the screen killing horrific beasts, collecting loot and levelling up as you take control of a hero battling to rid the world of Diablo.
