Aggelos - Wonder Boy inspiration gets a release on Steam and it looks great

What a month this has been, it has been non stop great retro games and retro inspired games that have appeared on our site from all over the world. Games such as Rocky Memphis - The Legend Of Atlantis, Alex Kidd in Miracle World Remake and the Eye of the Beholder C64 port to name but a few. But now another game has caught our eye, and this one is called ' AGGELOS '; a charming  action-RPG inspired by the likes of Wonder Boy that looks like it was plucked straight out of the 16-bit era!

AGGELOS - Colourful retro inspired platformer Greenlight success!

After our big feature for Wonderboy Bobi, Storybird Games, retro inspired platformer of ' AGGELOS ', we are pleased to announce the game is a Steam Greenlight success. Coming to PC at some point this year, AGGELOS is about a sword wielding character that must fight, earn experience, and acquire two essences to beat Lord Vammer and find the princess. The game will have lots of enemies, bosses, item collection, spell casting and deadly traps in a colourful world that harks back to the days of the Sega Mega Drive or the SNES.

I may not have played every Sega Mega Drive game when I was growing up, but that console had some truly amazing platformers such as Wonderboy in MonsterLand. They were highly addictive, had nice sound effects, chippy tunes, lots of levels and plenty of beasts to fight. So it stands to reason why we are now mentioning the Steam Greenlight campaign for a retro inspired ActionRPG platformer called ' AGGELOS ', that is very much like those great games!
