Checking this afternoon's Steam Greenlight campaign list, we came across a game that mashed up the best bits of classic games such as Theme Park and Theme Hospital and placed it in a UK Tube Station. Welcome to ' Overcrowd: A Commute 'Em Up ', a fast paced arcade-strategy game where you manage your very own train station, dealing with the most awful of commuters.
Blending real-time strategy elements with a unique commuter flow mechanic, Overcrowd offers a frantic mish-mash of time pressure, strategic thinking and split-second choices. You'll be taking the role of a tube manager, hiring and firing staff and dealing with the most disgusting of situations. From people that are sick throwing up all over the place, to Rodent infestations and angry people fighting it out, all with a unique crowd-flow mechanic and commuter A.I, this is one game that could well be all out comedy fun and worthy of a Steam Greenlight thumbs up.
Although the game is set for release in 2016 Q1/2 ' Overcrowd' will be going early access with future planned ideas such as procedural stations and to allow the player to customize a given station, such as fitting them out with shops, ATMs, flower stalls, newspaper stands or service doors. But again it all comes down to you, if you want to see this Tube Station customer puke Theme Park mix, give them a thumbs up for a Steam Greenlight success!
