TLoZ 2.5 Classic + Koten 1.3 - Special Friday news - Classic Zelda remake!

Have I got a very special retro gaming news for you, especially if you're a massive fan of the game Zelda. As Anthus has released the full, un-passworded, forkable remake of the first 1986 Legend of Zelda game, including both quests, with 2.5 tileset and Koten's tileset for more modern computers. This is 100% NES authentic, save for some new tiles and animations from the Zelda classic 2.5 set.

So how much work has gone into this remake? Well rather a lot going by what the developer has said in his development update. He took it upon himself to re-create the first game using the 2.5 classic tile set layout, completely remake the OW from scratch, dungeons re-created screen by screen in the first quest, and for the second quest, he imported the dungeon maps into the quest file, and replaced the tiles in the newer versions. As such it may not be a graphical overhaul as some would've liked, but no expense has been spared in remaking this fine classic, but still staying true to its original roots.

If you loved Zelda, you owe it to yourself to try this release!
