The Pawn - Classic text adventure by Magnetic Scrolls remastered and ZX Spectrum Next

Way back in 1985 Magnetic Scrolls released the fantastic text based adventure game for the Sinclair QL, with later systems such as the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Amstrad PCW, Apple II, Acorn Archimedes, Atari ST, Atari 8-bit, Commodore 64, MS-DOS, Macintosh and even the ZX Spectrum. In fact during that time it was so good it not only won an award for the best adventure game of the year in a Crash magazine, but also the publisher Firebird's second best selling Commodore game of late 1987.

Thankfully there are number of people out there who want to keep the game alive and remember this amazing game with its detailed graphical locations and revolutionary text-handling system allowing input of complicated sentences and complete interaction with characters. As not only is there a ZX Spectrum Next demo available by Stefan123, but Strandgames had released a remastered edition for PC, MAC and Linux!

So now is YOUR time to play the game a new or to remember golden memories of this text based adventure. It has a great plot, an outstanding parser, challenging puzzles and characters to talk all wrapped up in a game with a 3,500-word vocabulary. Basically if there's one text based adventure game to play, make sure you play this one!
