40 years of the Amiga as an album tribute by Allister Brimble

Something slightly different for today other than all the games I've mentioned (Yes I'm looking at you speccy community), as if you want to listen some damn fine tunes that harks back to the glory days of the Commodore Amiga, then you might be interested in checking out this speaker blasting Album of 'Amiga 40'. A tribute to 40 years of the Amiga by a legendry Composer that is none other than Allister Brimble. Not sure who that is, then maybe this footage below will jog your memory ;)

With all the Amiga game announcements this year you'd think the Amiga scene would take a break from announcing new games, but no chance of that any time soon thankfully ;). As darkage software has just given us a heads up about their new game of 'C64 the Mysterious Cassette'. A new graphical adventure game by Carlo Pastore, Paolo D'Urso, Colin Vella and music by none other than Allister Brimble. To coincide with this news on this cold Winters day, Saberman has provided a new gameplay video of the game being played!

It wasn't long ago that we told you of Chris Wilkins newest Kickstarter for The Crash 2018 Annual; A revival of the classic ZX Spectrum Crash magazine, wrapped up in the guise of a Christmas annual, with a brand new Oliver Frey Christmas cover! Slightly Magic - The ZX Spectrum classic overhauled aims for a Steam Greenlight success

Some time back we featured ' Slightly Magic ', a nice little gem of a retro classic by Colin Jones that had received a make over and was released on July 2014 for PC, Mac and Linux. Originally a 1990's ZX Spectrum game which was highly regarded in the local Sinclair Magazines is now aiming for a Steam Greenlight success. Colin Jones who has done the game, with the original graphics by Chris Graham, and Allister Brimble re-mastered the original soundtrack, features the original art work and game play while resolving some of the original platform limitations.

Amiga game music aficionados will have no trouble recognizing the name Allister Brimble - creator of seminal soundtracks for well known games such as Project-X, Body Blows, Alien Breed and Superfrog, should need no introduction. After a successful kickstarter campaign to re-work some of his best musical work into a modern studio format with the "Amiga Works" project comes the documentary about the man himself and the behind the scenes look at the production of Amiga Works.
