It has been some time since we've featured a Game & Watch game, previous ones we've mentioned such as Kong, Parachute and Octopus 21. But here we are with a new game called 'Oil Panic' for the Commodore 64 by Metesev. A game in which the creator says is " A C64 tribute to the dual-screen LCD classics, your mission is simple: Catch the oil. Fill the drum. Don't soak the customers." To coincide with this news, provided below is the latest footage.
Octopus 21 - An improved 1981 Game and Watch Handheld game for the GX4000 and Amstrad CPC+
The 1980's Game and Watch Handheld throw backs just keep on coming, as we've recently been informed by our good friend XeNoMoRPH, that the previously released Amstrad CPC+ and GX4000 game of 'Octopus' by AYOR61 and team, has been improved with a fantastic intro, soundtrack and so so much more! To coincide with this news, both Saberman and XeNoMoRPH have provided a video, giving us a glimpse of this 1981 Game and Watch title for the Amstrad and GX4000.
ZX Bomb Sweeper - Another Game & Watch title arrives on the ZX Spectrum!
Another day and another Game and Watch mention, as the previous one was called 'Octopus Deluxe' which was ported over to the Amstrad CPC 6128, and this latest release called 'ZX Bomb Sweeper' has been developed for the ZX Spectrum. Now unlike the other game developed by Team Galaxy as a port of a 1981 title, Bomb Sweeper was a game originally released in 1987 and has been converted over to the ZX Spectrum by Menyiques.

Now unlike the other game port developed by alargames, this Mario Game and Watch title was originally released from 1983 and has now been created using ZX Boriel as a ZX Spectrum demake.
Donkey Kong 3 - Another classic Game & Watch title gets a Boriel ZX BASIC conversion for the ZX Spectrum!

Now unlike the other game port developed by a team of homebrew fans, Donkey Kong 3 however is a Game & Watch game for either one or two players, released as part of the Micro VS. System series on August 20, 1984 and converted over by je7ebel!

Welcome to Donkey Kong Junior, originally released in 1982 for Arcades and later released for home systems such as the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 8-bit , ColecoVision, Coleco Adam, Intellivision, NES and BBC Micro, with a C64 overhauled version released by Mr Sid at the end 2014. In this game you play as Donkey Kong Junior and must rescue your father Donkey Kong who has been imprisoned by Mario in his only appearance as an antagonist in a video game. A sequel to the hit classic, you can now play Sputnik World's version, which is a C64 recreation of the Panorama Game & Watch originally released in 1983.

Another day and another Game & Watch mention, as the previous one was called 'Mario's Cement Factory' which was created by Hayesmaker64 as his first assembly game, this latest release however called 'Oil Panic' has been developed for the Amstrad CPC by Crazy Piri as a tribute game. Now unlike the other game mentioned above starring Mario, Oil Panic is the first of a 1982 Game & Watch Multi screen series in which you need to collect oil from an oil leak, while also avoiding oil being dropped upon waiting customers!
Funky Monkey Kid Game & Watch - Another Game & Watch inspiration comes to the ZX Spectrum.
We've featured so many Game & Watch games lately, you'd think they were bringing that handheld back into retail circulation. Sadly that's not happening, but if you want to play another Game & Watch inspiration, you can now check out Funky Monkey Kid Game & Watch for the ZX Spectrum and Spectrum Next. This game developed by Bootlegger is his own take on the classic Donkey Kong Jr game, which was originally released way back in 1982.
Baby Monkey Alba - Nintendo Game & Watch inspired game is coming to the ZX Spectrum
A long time ago, when I was but a teen. I remember going on Holiday to New York and it was the very first time I ever saw a 1980's Nintendo Game and Watch with a little guy that had to put out a fire. Sadly I was never able to buy one of them and it wasn't until now that I heard a Game & Watch inspired game is coming to the ZX Spectrum in the form of ' Baby Monkey Alba '; a game based on Donkey Kong Jr originally released in 1982!
