Arctic Moves - Gun blasting platformer from the PC is possibly coming to the Amstrad CPC!

Another great Amstrad news story for you all, as if you remember playing the 1995 PC Game of 'Artic Moves', which was also later released on the Atari ST and as a port to the Amiga in 2017 by meynaf, will be pleased to learn that Retrobytes Productions is developing a new Amstrad game which based on that very same classic. Although details are very sparse at this time, to coincide with this new update thanks to XeNoMoRPH sending us the heads up, the team behind the game have teased a new video showing the intro.

Great news if you're an Amstrad or ZX Spectrum fan, as we've recently learnt that Retrobytes Productions has finally launched their eagerly awaited game 'World War Simulator Part II' for both the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum. This game developed by Alex Layunta, Toni Ramírez and José Antonio Martín is a high grade top down action game that will give most of us a rather Eagle's Nest flavour.

CPCRetroDev 2016 - Outlaws wins overall in the Amstrad CPC dev compo

With only a few months left before we begin 2017, the #CPCRetroDev 2016 has finished and gone out with a bang with possibly the best Amstrad games seen at a CPC dev competition. The 4th edition of the retro game creation contest held at the University of Alicante, saw a number of entries and part of the Jury was none other than The Oliver Twins, famous for games such as the Dizzy series. In actual fact the CPCRetroDev 2016 was a resounding success, more so for the developers Retrobytes Productions 2016, as their game ' Outlaws ' not only won the PRO award coming first place, but also the music award and innovation.

Fist-Ro Fighter - The ZX Spectrum gets an action puncher from Retrobytes Productions

It's the ZX Spectrum's time to shine as today a new game was released for the 80's system and this one is a face punching platformer developed by Retrobytes Productions for the ZX-DEV 2015 comp. Titled as ' Fist-Ro Fighter ', you play as Salmeula San, working in the Police Department in Santa Coloma that has learnt the ways of an ancient fighting technique called RO. The problem is, you're not the only one with this technique as a rather jealous colleague by the name of Gazpanchete, has found your secret and will use it to cause you no end of grief.

The Tales of Grupp - Another impressive homebrew ZX Spectrum title!

I must admit when it comes to all these homebrew titles, I do actually prefer the ZX Spectrum over the C64, perhaps it's the higher grade of game play or the intense in your face colours. Not to say the C64 is bad, far from it, but it's a system I prefer so far. But back to the here and now, we have another impressive game to show off in the form of 'The Tales of Grupp'; an arcade adventure style game from Retrobytes Productions.
