Manic Mower - 24th Anniversary edition released for the ZX Spectrum

A relatively new ZX Spectrum game for your enjoyment this evening, as Balford has released Manic Mower the 24th Anniversary edition for the ZX Spectrum. Originally a 1992 game that made its way onto Sinclair User 129 cover tape, has been remade and recoded in assembly and made available as a Tap and TZX File. The gameplay from the original has been left alone as much as possible, while music has been added by Gasman with testing by Alex Gledhill.

Save the Trees! - Save the trees from the hungry ZX Spectrum pest!

Another new ZX Spectrum release today is Mzx's puzzle game of ' Save the Trees! ' in which you need to protect your trees and to save your park from dangerous grubs. A bit of a weird one this as the description is a little overwhelming, and if you jump straight into the game without knowing what to do first, you may get a little lost.

STARS(Gumi) - Catch the Stars for your ZX Spectrum!

Possibly the last news for today as it's been a non stop weekend of fun, but just moments ago kas29 announced his brand new Arcade ZX Spectrum game of ' STARS(Gumi) '. In this fine gem of a release, you the player must guide the Alien Gumi in his little yellow spaceship, out to space to collect the stars to bring them back to the collection point to complete the level.

Blap 'n Bash - TND have gone breakout C64 crazy!

Today's special C64 release by TND ( The New Dimension ) is not a SEUCK development, but a game that takes the Breakout way of playing and turns it completely on it's head.  Coded by Richard, ' Blap 'n Bash ' has the usual bat styled game play but adds that something extra which makes the game both unique to play while completely screwing with your mind!

Oceano - Underwater fun for the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum

Great news for those of you that own either an Amstrad CPC or ZX Spectrum as Egotrip has just released 'Oceano'; an arcade style homebrew game that is listed for both retro systems. Available in either format, your task playing as Amy, is to explore the depths of the ocean using your submarine to search for the 20 fabled power crystals that have long been lost.

C64SD V3 PRINCESS - New Sd2iec with tap files support for C64!

Although it's a new area of a retro journey for me as I've recently got hold of a lovely C64C, I was impressed to read of an upcoming device that might just send a tingly sensation down the spines of other C64 owners. A device that according to developers, is from the experience of c64sd v2 INFINITY (by Manosoft) and ITS module (infinity tape sd2iec) (by Hawui1/Manosoft), which emulates both floppy disc and real player datasette's! But there's far more to this bit of kit than meets the eye, so check out the latest preview video and drool!
