Sabre Wulf - Is still getting a C64 remaster, and it looks awesome! [UPDATE]
Earlier today we found out that ' Sabre Wulf ' is still coming to the C64 as a full remaster by Genesis Project. Yes indeed this famous game released in 1984 by Ultimate Play the Game, and originally released on the ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, C64 and Amstrad CPC, will soon be making its home yet again on the C64 but this time with incredible remastered graphics such as in game and a fancy loader. To coincide with this news, we've got some footage of the game below.
Dominion - Genesis Project recovers a brilliant side scrolling Shoot 'em up for the C64!
Genesis Project was quick to give us the heads up via Facebook today, that not only have they released a game for the Commodore 64, but this game known as 'Dominion' by Micro Media, was found and recovered by Hedning of GP! As in the words of Genesis Project "A shooter that James Doyle & Mark Hughes made in 1988, between "Master Blaster" and "Black Tiger", which was shelved and forgotten about has finally been found when hedning struck gold on an old disk. It was given the Zyron treatment with a +2-trainer and a highscore saver, and playtested by Paladin. Blast away!"
Zambeezi - Previously unknown Mr Chip game surfaces via Genesis Project for the C64
It's always handy to have good friends or those who like sending us bits of info we may have otherwise missed. This is especially true of this C64 game which has been mentioned to us by Johan through our Facebook page, it's Zambeezi; A new release via Genesis Project from an old disk of one of their members, which according to gamesthatwerent is also a release of a previously unknown Mr Chip game from 1985 for the C64 by Tony Kelly.

As you probably guessed by now from our previous post it was already going to be an awesome Monday, going by the fact we had a number of Amiga games released and of course the all important Revision 2019 suppling that retro extra goodness! B-Ball - A C64 game that never was, now finally available to all via Genesis Project
As promised here's another special for Monday, as this one comes from Genesis Project with a game that never was called ' B-Ball ' for the C64. Now I'm not sure if you've ever heard of this game before, but if you haven't, it was due to be released by Prisma Designs but sadly after the game vanished into the void, it wasn't until AFL had the first preview back in 1994 that gamers had the first chance to see a preview of the game. Well now it's 2019 the game has finally made a proper appearance, as Genesis Project has made the game available to all as NTSC-Fixed, one filled and a preview on disk 2.
Beer Belly Bill In : Grillieren! - A rather charming C64 game that's still a preview!
Way back in 2006 a coder by the name of Widdy released a rather charming little game called Beer Belly Bill In : Grillieren! Barbecue Deluxe for the Gameboy Advanced, with later ports to the Wii, Android and even Java. But now in 2017 Widdy(Code/Graphics) and FieserWolf (Music) via Genesis Project, has released a preview of the C64 version, which according to a CSDb member by the name of Groepaz is about 10 years old!
Jetpac Wars Preview V3 - WIP 2 player C64 shooter based on a classic version 3!
A game that is close to our hearts is the Ultimate Play the Game classic 'Jetpac', released in 1983 for the ZX Spectrum, and Vic-20, with the BBC Micro version released later in 1984. This game which put you in the boots of Jetman on a mission to rebuild a rocket in order to explore other planets while also defending himself from Aliens with his powerful laser. Was also released as a fan based early work in progress preview shooter by MSCIFU (Mauro Cifuentes) in assembler language on the C64. Although unlike the original game, the C64 fan version was a 2 player shooter, which has since been improved upon in version 3
Modulot - An unusual brain basher for C64 users
You may have wondered why there has been a lack of news lately, that's once again down to health issues, so i'll try my best to keep you up to date on any new games that have come out or will be coming out soon. So putting that aside the first game for mention is a brand new game by Atlantis for the C64, that's called Modulot, which if you were any good at Maths at school will sure to be an easy task to play.

It was and still is an incredible game that has since mentioned again, but this time as a very early work in progress 2 player shooter in Jetpac Wars Preview, which is being developed by MSCIFU and teased by Genesis Project.

In the 1970's Bushnell and another guy called Alcorn released a Pong prototype at a local bar named Andy Capp's Tavern, yet it wasn't until 1975 and through a long history that Pong actually appeared in our homes, and on my very own Atari 2600. Yet fast forward to today in 2017 and here's another release by Genesis Project and development by Nielsf on the C64 'Pong' Aka 'Pong Clone 2017 preview version 2'.

If you love 8bit gaming Indie Retro News is certainly the place to be today, as we have yet another retro game to show you and this time it's ' Locators Synd Preview ' on the C64. Released by Genesis Project, this is a high quality and in their words promising new strategy game, translated from German to English by WertStahl and linked by L.A.Style. Think of it as an early Colonization , Civilization, The Settlers mix, as the game revolves around locators in the 12 century responsible for founding settlements, settling, financing and much more to receive the favour from the Lord of the lands.

Carrier-Bourne Fighter Simulation &D - Long lost flight Simulator appears on the C64
Jumping out from the platformer and into the cockpit of a fighter, as Genesis Project has released a long lost flight simulator called ' Carrier-Bourne Fighter Simulation ' for the C64. Developed by J.G.S James in 1986, this game was found from the void by WertStahl and linked by Rhythm with docs by hedning. The aim of this game is to take off from the carrier, shoot down any enemy aircraft and return to the flight deck, which is easier said than done!
Sally's Garden Preview - Early in dev game on the C64 gets a first release
Genesis Project are on form this month as after previously releasing Lawless Legends an RPG proof of concept dungeon crawler for the C64, they then went ahead and released the first preview of ' Sally's Garden Preview +2 ' . Developed by Matthew Clarke, linked and trained by their new member Rhythm, this is your typical platformer whereby collection of vegetables and enemy avoidance is the overall aim of the game.
Lawless Legends - RPG proof of concept dungeon crawler for the C64
Only just last month there was our big announcement for what we believed to be the eagerly awaited dungeon crawler Lawless Legends, which later turned out to be Ancient Legends as a mini teaser for the big Apple II game. Yet fast forward to today and Genesis Project has made available a C64 game preview; a 2D proof of concept demo of the remains of the C64 version for Lawless Legends, which the homebrew developers originally had planned all those months ago
Akalabeth World of Doom +4 - Lord British blessed C64 RPG port gets a Genesis Project update!
Remember when Indie Retro News gave a big mention to Andrea Schincaglia and team's C64 port of the Apple II RPG classic ' Akalabeth World of Doom '? Well guess what! It's appeared again but this time as Akalabeth - World of Doom +4 by Genesis Project! That's right ladies and gentlemen, the C64 port which was blessed by Richard Garriott aka Lord British himself as the predecessor to the Ultima series of games, has appeared on CSDB with more than just a few tweaks to the original.
