Sabre Wulf - An Ultimate Play the Game classic has arrived on the Commodore VIC-20

The VIC-20 news hasn't finished with us just yet, as homebrew developer gekka has now released a new port of Ultimate Play The Game’s 1984 classic Sabre Wulf for the Commodore VIC-20 over from the ZX Spectrum. According to the creator, the original left a lasting impression on him, largely due to its deeply immersive and incredible atmosphere. Bringing that same experience to the VIC-20 required a lengthy and challenging development process, marked by numerous failed attempts over the years before finally reaching completion.

Sabre Wulf - Is still getting a C64 remaster, and it looks awesome! [UPDATE]

Earlier today we found out that ' Sabre Wulf ' is still coming to the C64 as a full remaster by Genesis Project. Yes indeed this famous game released in 1984 by Ultimate Play the Game, and originally released on the ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, C64 and Amstrad CPC, will soon be making its home yet again on the C64 but this time with incredible remastered graphics such as in game and a fancy loader. To coincide with this news, we've got some footage of the game below.

Ultimate Play The Game "Sabre Wulf" is coming to the Atari XL/XE


The retro news just keeps on coming this week, as earlier today we found out ' Sabre Wulf ' will be coming to the Atari XL/XE as a new development port by Robert Stuart with music by Miker. Yes indeed this famous game released in 1984 by Ultimate Play the Game, and originally released on the ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, C64 and Amstrad CPC, will soon be making its home on the Atari while hopefully keeping all of the original gameplay and graphical style intact.

Ultimate Play The Game : Pentagram - Final port release for the Atari 8bit!


This is just madness, in just one week we've had the classic Manic Miner released for the Atari XL/XE, Ocean Software's 1987 isometric hit game 'Head Over Heels', which was remade for the MSX2, and now Ultimate Play The Game's 1986 of ' Pentagram ', has finally been released as a port for the Atari 8bit by Mariuszw. If you don't remember the game Pentagram, It is the fourth in the Sabreman series, following on from his adventures in Sabre Wulf, Underwurlde and Knight Lore and was played in an isometric viewpoint.

Godkiller 2 Exile - Impressive ZX Spectrum 128k game gets a sequel!


What a fantastic day this is turning out to be and it has just got even better, as Geraldo Rivera at Large has just informed us of the release of 'Godkiller 2' by APSIS, powered by The Mojon Twins. A ZX Spectrum 128k sequel to the great ZX game 'Godkiller' which featured fantastic music, great 8-bit graphics and top notch gameplay. Once again you play as The Gods Murderer, but this time exiled to a demonic dimension stripped of your powers and surrounded by hellish creatures , you must restore your connection to the primary Source and escape from this hell up!
