Prince of Persia - HOT NEWS as a fabulous Sega Mega Drive remaster has been released!

Another great news story for you all, as we have just been told through twitter that the all time classic platformer of 'Prince of Persia'; a game which has been released for many different systems back in 1989 by Broderbund, has finally been made available as an incredible remaster for the Sega Mega Drive by Master Linkuei! Prince of Persia is not only a game that featured lots of well designed platforming levels, but the game is full of danger as you must be careful not to fall through loose floors, get hit by sword wielding guards, crushed by gates or at worst skewered in blood on deadly spikes.

Ziriax 100% (Ultimate Edition) - The only full Amiga working version that exists!

In 1990 Software Business with development by The Whiz Kidz, released the side-scrolling shoot em up Ziriax for the Amiga, which was very similar to games such as R-Type or even Gradius. This game featured an action packed experience with five stages of shoot em up gameplay with each level containing an end of level boss. It's just a shame that during its many years of release not only was there not a fully working ADF of the game but according to some it has a few in game issues of its own...

A Life M36 Planet - A complete English translation for an MSX Action Adventure

Usually I'm here talking about English translations for NES games or SNES games, but this one isn't either of those but a full English translation of an Action Adventure game called ' A Life M36 Planet ' on the MSX. Now I'm going to be truthful and say I've never heard of this game before which is a shame as it looks pretty decent, especially as described by Msx.org. According to them "this game was released for the MSX system in 1987 where the player has to find out if the planet M36 is suitable for a human colony. While the game was obviously inspired by Metroid, it does deepen its formula with a lot more RPG elements added on top of it "

Super Mario Kart wasn't the only classic Nintendo racing game that Mario and Luigi star'd in, but way before that in 1988 in Japan they also appeared in the enjoyable racing game ' Famicom Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally ', which only recently has been fully translated into English on the Famicom system by AgentOrange and team. Playing in a similar style to that of Rad Racer with a flavour of other racing games of that era, you must drive as fast as possible around each of the 3 tracks against the time limit to win the race!

Ace Combat 3 - A grand English translation released for a Playstation 1 game

Thanks to a heads up by our good friend VizionGamer via our twitter feed, we have learnt of the release of the English translation for Ace Combat 3 on the Playstation 1 by Team NEMO. You probably haven't heard of this game before, that's because the better version was released in Japan in 1999 as Ace Combat 3 : Electrosphere; an arcade air combat game by Namco. The problem was with the game and according to romhacking, the original story was altered and the characters were cut from the NTSC-U and PAL regions. Now thanks to Team Nemo the original Japanese game is back as it should be, but this time all 52+ missions are now in English!

It's time for the Sega Master System to shine, as a user by the name of freezingicekirby is overhauling the original GG2SMS patch for the Sonic the Hedgehog game spin off 'Tails Adventure'. First released in 1995 for the Sega Game Gear with platforming and role playing elements, was later unofficially ported over to the Sega Master System via a rom patch. The problem was the game ended up looking glitchy and generally unfinished, at least until now. Welcome to Tails Adventure - SMS Deluxe.

Star Cruiser - Japanese Sega Mega Drive RPG gets a full English translation

What a great start to the week and it's just about to get so much better, as celcion, cccmar and KenshinX have released the full English translation public beta of the seriously cool action adventure RPG 'Star Cruiser' for the Sega Mega Drive. Originally this was a Japanese game developed by Arsys Software and released in Japan for the PC-88, Sharp X1, NEC PC-98 and Sharp X68000 and ported by Masaya (NCS) to the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis home console in 1990.

Super Pitfall 30th Anniversary Edition : NES Super Pitfall turns 30 today and a fan has fixed it‏!

In 1986 Pony Inc released the loose remake of Pitfall II: Lost Caverns ' Super Pitfall ' for the Famicom and PC-8801. It was a scrolling platformer that also appeared in 1987 for the NES as another line up in the Pitfall series which first appeared on the Atari 2600 and published by Activision. However Super Pitfall unlike the original Atari 2600 game was not so well received with one such site saying  "Pitfall is one of the best Atari 2600 games but Super Pitfall is one of the worst NES games" (Wiki). So not really much to celebrate on that front, but along comes a professional game artist by the name of Mário Azevedo (nesrocks) who has released The Super Pitfall 30th Anniversary Edition; a fan fixed game for the NES.

Vampire Killer on the MSX2 gets a Castlevania MSX2 patch

Originally developed in 1986 for the NES, Castlevania by Konami, was a high grade for its time, action platformer, that had you tasked with the defeating of the vampire Dracula. It was a game that also appeared as a graphically impressive fan based game on the ZX Spectrum as Castlevania Spectral Interlude, developed by Sanchez . But today's news isn't so much as a fan based game or even a new game, but a MSX2 patch of the alternative MSX2 version also known as Vampire Killer, which turns the game into Castlevania. They both already share most of the background settings, enemies and music, but this goes much further.
