Fire Breath & Little Knight Arthur - Upcoming C64 games through ka-plus magazine

Don't worry C64 owners we haven't forgotten you, as just moments ago we were told through our Game Dev :RetroGaming group that ka-plus magazine will soon be publishing multiple C64 games Fire Breath, Little Knight Arthur, and Valkyrie – a SEUCK Trilogy as tape based releases, which can be pre-ordered through their website and due to be delivered before Christmas 2018.

NERO - Errazking's SEUCK C64 game features music by Richard Bayliss

As promised we are moving away from Greenlight, and yes even Indie games as now it's time to look towards the C64, as Errazking has announced the release of their SEUCK game ' NERO ', which was coded by Chris Yates, music by Richard Bayliss, graphics by Errazking and loader by Martin Piper. In this game you play as Nero working for a space agency, armed only with your trusty Magnum XII pulse laser you must go on a mission to fight a bunch of nasty pirates and their mechanoids that have taken control of a distant red planet.

Barnsley Badger - Could this be one of the best C64 games of 2016? Exclusive Preview!

During Chris Wilkins Kickstarter campaign for 'The story of the Commodore 64 in pixels', which was a huge success. One of the pledges £65 or more ,was a signed copy of a new C64 game called 'Barnsley Badger', developed by Trevor Story, George Rottensteiner and team. It star'd a gambling badger called Barnsley, who, after overhearing a conversation about a discovered gold coin in a graveyard, which has the head of the great Tutanbadge carved on one side. Goes on a quest to find more treasure to hopefully pay of his debts and live the life of luxury. STARS(Gumi) - Catch the Stars for your ZX Spectrum!

Possibly the last news for today as it's been a non stop weekend of fun, but just moments ago kas29 announced his brand new Arcade ZX Spectrum game of ' STARS(Gumi) '. In this fine gem of a release, you the player must guide the Alien Gumi in his little yellow spaceship, out to space to collect the stars to bring them back to the collection point to complete the level.

Rabbit in Wonderland - Bunny hopping release for the ZX Spectrum!

Now this took us completely by surprise as Javier Fopiani has announced through twitter the release of 'Rabbit in Wonderland' for the ZX Spectrum 48 and 128k. A platform game powered by the Churrera Mojon Twins engine, you play as the White Rabbit and it's down to you as the most agile in the land to destroy all the looking glass portals to stop Alice from returning. If you don't do this, the evil queen will chop off your head!

Nuclear Strike Force - Shoot 'em up action for the C64 by TND Games

You may have noticed the lack of C64 titles this week, that's because we were saving the best till last with TND Games latest SEUCK release of ' Nuclear Strike Force ; A full on action shoot 'em up designed and written by Richard Bayliss, that was imported into the latest version of the SEUCK Redux engine. Featuring a brand new animated front end, enemy AI firing, in game music, animated backgrounds and awesome power ups this is one C64 game you'll not want to miss.

Red Planet - Arcade shooter blasts its way on to your ZX Spectrum

Putting aside all those fascinating dungeon crawlers, it's time to mention Salvador Cantero's arcade release of 'Red Planet', which is now available to play on the ZX Spectrum. Powered by The Mojon Twins and title screen by Mike Smith, Red Planet is a jet pack jumping and shooter platformer, that was made available just yesterday as a tape based file. With lovely 8-bit detail and enemy designs, Red Planet is completely free. But I must warn you, it's not an easy game to master!

Jupistrike - C64 SEUCK shooter by Roberto Ricioppo

Another Release by Roberto Ricioppo for The New Dimension SEUCK compo is Jupistrike. Jupiter is under attack by rogue pirates. Your mission is to fly your interceptor MK72 into the depths of Jupiter and thwart the evil pirates, and restore what used to be a safe haven for yourself and your people.

Battle Ship 2045 - Multi directional shooter for the C64

Announced by The New Dimension, Roberto Ricioppo has now released Battle Ship 2045; a SEUCK developed game for the C64, that is available in both D64 and tape format. Playing as a powerful warship, you must wipe out the enemy spy ships which are attacking from above and below the ocean using your multi directional weapon. An ok release for a C64 game but not the best we've seen from Robert is available to play for free. Instructions : FIRE on its own or FIRE + LEFT: Fire missile  left, FIRE + RIGHT: Fire missile right and FIRE + DOWN: Drop depthcharge

Ice Slider Z - EgoTrip's ZX Spectrum arcade release

EgoTrip of CPC has decided to give up waiting for AGD bug fixes and joined the dark side of the ZX Spectrum, creating his own fantastic arcade release in the form of 'Ice Slider Z'. Classed in his words as a Collect-em-up, you are tasked with collecting 12 jewels on many great levels that should keep you occupied for ages.

ShapeShifter - Shape shift the puzzles in this latest ZX Spectrum game

Cronosoft who are well known for putting out some incredible retro homebrew titles have just announced that the Puzzle game "ShapShifter" for ZX Spectrum owners is now available to buy. With the screenshot above you'll be forgiven in thinking it's Tetris but unlike Tetris you are given a set amount of puzzled pieces to fill the grid, when each grid is filled correctly it's onto the next puzzle. The developer Mr Millside of Cronosoft has mentioned the game will have 100 puzzles to complete with easy ones to start, becoming much more difficult as the game progresses

Cronosoft a Uk based game publisher has just released a fantastic new 128k only ZX Spectrum game on tape format. Captain drexx is a tower defence game that really shows what the little black box of delights can still do!
